Why do I feel like we are too quiet on Recuitment.....
Kind of concerns me a bit that we haven't announced much at this stage. The signings will come. It's just a big question about how good our signings will wind up being.

A very good pick up for Nulla and if they snare Finucane after re-signing their fullback and long haired hero, they'll be on the up imo.

Hugely improved season and in form player at FB.

Running half, will need a good kicker and game manager next to him.

Time will tell if it’s just the Storm system that has made him a stand out

I bet that Buzz is frothing at the mouth...more than usual..... at the news.

The two lead weights cap wise in Johnson and Moylan probably gone...Means the Sharks can keep Sharon and the on the fourth specialist

Man we sure f'd this one up, Hynes has been unbelievable at 7 for the Sharks
Well we didn't because he was never joining us with the history between him and Trent. He is doing a lot better than i thought he would though, looks very comfortable in the role compared to when he slotted into it at Melbourne.

What is their history?
Hynes was at Manly when Baz was coach and Baz apparently ghosted him when he got injured and went back on his word about a contract. Something a long those lines.

Should've watched game on kayo and not ch9.
The way Gus and Joey were fapping over hynes ALL GAME LONG was nauseating .
Yes, played well - and i have nothing against the bloke - but faaaark me he also threw a pass that went a foot forward leading to a try in the 1st half which the refs didn't call because it was from golden boy Nicho.

We don't get Mahoney and Kikau if we sign Hynes. Hynes is a great signing for Cronulla and gets better every game but Mahoney is a more important player for us and we'll find a second half soon enough.

Good call mate, mahoney can organise and control the ruck for 2 running halves in avo and burton, similar to what the sharks are doing

We could have not paid stupid money for Pangai and instead put it towards creating what would have been one of the best spines in the comp. Dufty Burton Hynes Mahoney.

Barrett letting Hynes go at Manly just shows that he has no eye for talent. Flanagan, Allan, Okunbor, the list goes on with the duds he persists with.

He's gotten Flanagan, Allan etc wrong but he also helped us sign Burton, Mahoney, Kikau, TPJ, Fox etc so you can't ignore the influence he had getting those players.

I'd like to have Hynes too but it's easy with the benefit of hindsight and its not as simple as we should have signed him. He seemed pretty locked in to Cronulla, got big money and probably wouldn't have wanted to sign with us anyway because of the previous issues with Baz that you mentioned.

He may have influence in attracting stars but I don't think he has an eye to find talent before it unfolds. Can't name one player he has developed into something he already wasn't. Evidence of this is how Turbo flourished under a new coach, hard to admit but Des brought the best out of him.

Barrett is learning the coaching trade as he goes, I'm just not sure how far he can take us.
