News New recruitment manager

You would think that at this stage he would be chief talent scout and would be down to Gus and Management who they sign.
As far as retention he can put his two cents worth into the ring as well as others.
Too dangerous to leave all of that power to one person.
I know. I will hear the, " Gus already is that 'one' person"
There are plenty of management but I would think ayoub now would be the one to pick or discuss what’s best for us. Then you have MARTY Hulme who is the consultant for the DOGS mostly works with pathways and so forth but is well connected with rugby

Dosent matter what club, but these player managers are regarded as parasites.
No better than a pimp living off the earnings of a prostitute

Bulldogs didn't want Thurston because he was part of the Coffs Harbour crew.

There was a article I think yesterday saying alot of nrl players don’t trust there player managers,I think it was 48% don’t trust them
I don’t think player managers are easy to deal with and most think there king shit

Yes, I read that article and I think the 48% is right or close to it. It might have been the same article (I read a few yesterday) about Scott Sattler becoming a player manager but doing things differently. Maybe he's just seen the movie 'Jerry Maguire'.

Denan Kemp was on a podcast recently. He was signed to us for 2010. His manager changed his mind and gave us another winger of his. Kemp was shafted and not by us. Managers are the biggest blight on the game more so than the Gambling, Six Again and Bunker trio.

A decade ago they teammates in reserve grade at Penrith – now Cameron Ciraldo and Liam Ayoub are set to join forces at the Bulldogs as they look to end the club’s premiership drought

Ayoub is set to return to clubland on November 1 as he joins the ‘Dogs recruitment team and works alongside Ciraldo and head of football Phil Gould to supercharge the club’s title bid.

Ayoub and Ciraldo know each other well, After their playing careers came to an end, Ciraldo started his coaching journey at Penrith and Ayoub transitioned to the club’s high performance unit.

In recent years, Ayoub has been working as a player manager alongside his father Sam, where he has helped guide the careers of the likes of Brian To’o, Izack Tago, Su’A Faalogo, Isaiya Katoa and Bulldogs captain Steve Crichton.

He now gets the chance to put his eagle eye to the test at the ‘Dogs as they continue their resurgence under Gould and Ciraldo.

Katoa, Faalago and To'o plz

If he can't bring Fa’alogo surely he's not doing his (new) job

Only concern is it looks likely Paps will be leaving the Storm and if so Fa’alogo is signed there til 2028

It's a WIN WIN for Ayoub if he brings Paps to the Dogs in his new role AND also frees up the fullback position at the Storm for his current client Fa’alogo
