He thought it was funny.

There was a character called "the Skull" who sometimes sat with the group. He was a nutcase.

I cut ties with them after the car incident, and my mate moved to the UK to follow St.Helens.
Bald guy who looked like Peter Garrett from Midnight Oil? LOL my mate still talks about him because when he was heaps young he went to Dragons games too. That guy was a fkn psycho.

How delusional are their fans :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy: not knowing that they get a reality check by the sharks this afternoon and possibly get leapfrogged by the Dolphins, Broncos or Knights who have a superior F/A, even the Raiders are still in contention. Would love nothing more but to see them miss out on the eight.

Here's the link...go on help yourselves.

Could happen . . .All you'd need is 5 plane crashes

Anyone else need a laugh?

Penrith are demanding to know why club legends Greg Alexander and Royce Simmons have not been included in the NRL's Hall of Fame.

Only two Panthers players — Brad Fittler and Petero Civoniceva — are in the Hall of Fame and both played more games at other clubs.

I get the emotion of winning their maiden premiership, but I'd have Ryan Girdler ahead of Simmons and Alexander TBH

Royce I can understand but scrotum neck was one of the biggest pretenders to pull on a boot IMO.

In my 70+ years of going to games, the Dragons fans have always been the most arrogant and elitist, in my observations.

They are particularly nasty winners, taking pride in baiting fans of teams they beat. That's why I always enjoy a Dragons loss.

I was at the 1967 game when we ended their 11 year winning streak. They were ungracious in defeat - as if we had just assassinated the royal family - crying what a dark day it was for Rugby League, and screaming at us to shut up and stop our cheering.

I had a good mate who was a Dragons fan, and I went to their games with him when we were young. They were pretty nasty to fans of the other teams, and often got into blows with them. I stopped going after one of his mates kicked and punched my car because it had a Berries sticker on it - after I gave the clown a lift home.
Chris,

I remember that 1967 game like it was yesterday. My father and I were sitting in that small stand in the South Eastern corner between the now defunct Hill and the Bob Stand, which is now at North Sydney Oval.

It was at that stage the happiest day of my life of 13 years at that point.

Like you I hated Saints growing up as they won 11 straight first grade comps, and at least half of the 2 lower grade comps during that period. As you rightly say their fans were quite aloof and that day I saw many of them crying at the full time whistle. We got out of there quickly and quietly fearing a backlash.

Someone mentioned in another post the bald guy known as The Skull. I remember seeing him that day, and I believe he ended up having political connections with the Nazi party. I also believe he was banned for life sometime in the 1980’s.

The winning points will live long in my memory. George Taylforth’s penalty goal kicking towards the Noble Stand from just inside half way and 10 yards in from the right hand touch line, which wasn’t his favoured side.

We had beaten them in the 2nd last round at the old Sydney Sports Ground, but 4 weeks later the expected result was that we would lose, but we were made of sterner stuff than that. Once again in both those games the genius of our full back Les Johns came to the fore.

Do I still hate Saints as much as I did then? No. They are irrelevant.

The Roosters have that crown mainly because of a certain car yard owner, who many in the game have suspicions about.

I was in the 3rd row of the old Brewongle Stand with the Berries 3rd Grade Team, a game I will never forget. Especially the chilling silence at the hooter when everyone realised the Dargons reign was over. Then the eruption of noise that followed.

I was in the Brewongle Stand with three mates, surrounded by Saints supporters. We were well behaved but couldn't resist singing "when the saints go marching out", and all hell broke loose.

Skull was not right in the head. He was like someone out of Clockwork Orange, and definitely had Nazi sympathies for sure.

Years ago I remember reading about a game in Rugby League week involving the Moree Boomerangs. This was the club Ewan McGrady played for before he joined the Bulldogs.

The Boomerangs led by more than 40 points at half time, I think it was 48 nil but I’m not 100% sure of the exact score. They ended up losing the game. McGrady was playing for us at this point and so were his brothers Jason and Ricky.

This game yesterday seemed eerily similar.

WHAT, only suspicion about the person in question.
