Lichaa did have one of his best games for us V Broncos, but we can't judge players on one off performances (good or bad). He
has had a good start to the year though.

I feel for him a little because I'm pretty sure he was restrained by Des in the structure he played in 2015/16. The shackles have been unleashed to a degree and he has run the football more and when he does, he takes on the line and made good yards. Last year, when he did run the ball, he'd take it half way to the line and duck then back peddle.

He's improving and definitely has looked more confident and dangerous when running the ball, but we need more of it and he needs a short kicking game. Who knows, maybe Des has instructed him to leave the kicking to our halves?

We will never quite know the whole story, but what we do know is his service from dummy halve is not as sharp as it should be and in his 3rd year, we should be seeing an established no.9 with all the skills required for the job.

I'm prepared to see how his season unfolds not judging it on wins or losses.

Are you guys for real you want him to stay??? No thanks fuck him off mbye or woolford
Doesn't matter what we think of Lichaa he seems to have this love affair with Hassler so unfortunately he is here to stay, I cant believe Des let Enis & Cook go, Garvie only comes if Lichaa is injured and Woolford cant get a run and is just sitting there like a salami & just like Frawley we will never know if he is any good or not, apart from all this you watch bloody Hassler put Mbye back at 7 next week & frawley will go back to reserves rather than dropping Lichaa & giving Mbye or Reynolds ago at hooker.

What did Lichaa do to deserve getting dropped?

Thursdays game
Perhaps the inclusion of a proper halfback helped win Thursday'"s game imagine if we had a good hooker as well the score may have been even higher, anyway u ask why he should be dropped, well he has been with us for 2 seasons now and he is only now starting to develop a running game although he doesn't seem to have the speed or step to be potent, his passing is not very good & makes wrong choices who to pass it to ie Tollman on the 4th & 5th takles (remember Reynolds going of at him on the field last year out of frustration) his kicking game is not existing and his defence is only now starting to pick up, if you don't believe me just read the rest of the threads on these pages but if you still don't agree you need not worry because he will never be dropped or replaced because he is des hassler"s love child.

While I can't see the point of passing to Tolman on the 4th or 5th tackle I have made a point of looking at other teams this year and the disturbing thing is that every one of them do it at various stages so I assume all the other fan sites must be going off like we do on this one all the time about it......yes?

You're assuming that players walk out onto the park with infinite freedom to do as they please.

He has been coached to be an 80 minute tackling machine, Ballin, Ennis, Lichaa - this is Desball.

To date this year he has missed less tackles then Granville, McCullough, Friend, Luke, Hodgson, Koroisau, Wallace, Pritchard, Levi, Cook, Brailey
He's made more tackles then Brailey, Cook, Farah, Friend, Granville, Pritchard, Luke, McInnes, Koroisau, Levi, Wallace, McIwlrick, Brailey, Hodgson
He's made more run meters then Granville, McCullough, Friend, Smith, Luke, McInnes, Hodgson, Wallace, Pritchard, Levi, McIwlrick, Brailey
He isn't the flashiest hooker in the game but he's out working, making less defensive errors and pinching more meters than the majority of the comp and he's the 4th youngest hooker in the game.

Edit - Also the only hooker in the game getting regular minutes who has 0 - zero errors this year

Fuck him off, he's had long enough to prove himself and has not stepped up.
His service is the worst in the league and ain't getting better.
Friggin defence on us before ball reaches first receiver more times then not.
Stop wasting time and cap space with him and try woolford or put mbye in for a go, Frawley in half which betters Reynolds game.

O.K. I don't Know where you are getting these stats from but if you think his that good we wont have to worry about dropping him cos he is the 4th youngest hooker in the game and I'm sure Melbourne Storm will Snap him up as soon as Smith Retires Anyway the main reason we should drop him is cos his bloody name is to had to spell.

Yeah if you've read what I've said about him previously in this thread and others then you'd know I don't care if we move him on at the end of this year but the question I keep asking is who do we replace him with?

People say Woolford and I ask, based on what Des did with Ballin, Ennis and Lichaa - why do you think it would be any different for Woolford?
People say Reynolds and I reference the fact he's a worse defender and a worse distributor.
People say Mbye and I ask for the evidence that he can handle 1920 minutes of regular season hooker responsibilities including making 35+ tackles a game and servicing 90% of the ruck

So again I ask, who do you replace him with that will guarantee success?

The best answer I've seen so far is playing Mbye off the bench initially, give him minutes at 9 and 6 and see how he handles it. IF he is playing better then Lichaa put him in the 9 and put Lichaa on the bench - don't re-sign him

If the forward they pass it to has the ability to gain better field position or better still score thats not as bad as giving to Tollman who will run 2 metres turn his back on the opposition not draw any players never pass the ball and 8 times out of 10 drop the ball tell me these teams you are talking about are they also at the bottom of the ladder I cant imagine Melbourne Storm making this kind of play nearly every game for whole season with out Bellamie sacking or killing his hooker or his forward.

Sorry, add him to the list of DDS - Des' Dud Signings. (New Des acronym)

Does not excel in any of dummy half key attributes, is merely competent in them and cannot kick.

Until we actually saw Abbey play we had no Idea what to expect like wise with Frawley but that's my point I thought we brought Woolford as a specialist hooker why doesn't Des give him a go we might be pleasantly supprised,if not I agree with u now that we think Frawley can handle 1/2 back then try Mby or even Reynolds At hooker Its nothing personal against Lichaa but what is best for the team. I am selfish I would love another Premiership Party at Belmore, lol its been great having this discussion with you my bulldog brother Its got us all thinking. PS Its still his name that double A is a killer.

He could be a good 40-60 minute hooker with a live wire utility on the bench to give him a breather. I would love to see Mybe play a utility bench role.
