The minute he wanted out of the Tigers I always assumed he'd end up there, especially with Parra's pack being their weakness.

Still, he's a great signing at a decent price for a player who almost made Origin this season. It pisses me off that Parra keep making shrewd signings. It's very unlike them!

 

Don't forget the Sivo signing from Penrith last year!

 

Eels will be all over us in rd 1 if we don't make any good signings.

 

Don't know why we didn't put feelers out to Sivo before he re-signed recently for unders apparently. We should of made the Eels pay top dollar for him

One good thing at least - they definitely won't be competing for David Fifita now

 

Yeah but Sivo made his name at the Eels not Penrith which means he was cheap as furk then so his mention is redundant.

 

But that makes him an even better signing for Parra because he cost nothing initially and they wisely quickly extend him.

Imagine if we fluked signing Sivo instead of Meaney or Chrichton?

 

Thats the luck of the game my friend, it’s just the way it is! I wouldn’t mention Meaney detrimentally though because the kid has a massive future I rate him in the Billy Slater mould just needs a little more time to develop, he has an old head on young shoulders eventually his body and talent will shine through! I liked what I seen from him this year and expect he will go to another level in 2020 just be patient mate he is a good one.

 

I thought the Eels were over the cap in 2018 . They've definitely upgraded their roster since then...
