Subject to the judiciary findings this week, i.e. Mason and Patten, we have a more than average chance to beat Newcastle.

Despite Newcastle's results in round 2, i.e. letting in over 30 points and scoring 70, our shrewd approach to our defensive line couple with our strike power, the Bulldogs should win this.

It would be interesting to see what the betting market has on offer.

Good luck boys.

Even money Id say. If Newcastle are favourites, I'll be sticking a bit on the dogs.
Should be an awesome game.

If we close down Johns we will win, we let him play the way he wants to and we will lose. Simple as that. O'Meley and Mason (if hes playing) should be running at him all night.

Also, 47-12 is a better score to have than 70-32.... they let in 32 friggen points!!! How bad was their defence!

Yeah, because putting Czislowski back in first grade just to see whether he is up to scratch now and how well he goes, against the form side in the competition, is such a logical idea.

Are you guys kidding. Newcastle in newcastle at night time is a HUGE task. WIth Joey in their side I'm not too confident about jagging a win, although a win would be great.

I think we can do it if Mason isnt suspended. We just have to defend well and shut down Johns (easier said than done yes but it can be done!). If our forwards dominate again and we keep Newcastle on the back foot we can win.

IMO Mason won't have a case to answer. His hand came around the shoulder and then slipped up as Lolesi was falling. He will probably be let off with some carry over points. Having said that, Patten's case is abit more worrying. However, Patten's also wasn't very bad, as he hit the player in his attempt at a tackle, and couldn't pull out, but he hit the player high, so that's where he'll have a case to reply to.

IMO, the team against the Knights should be:

1. Trent Cutler
2. Hazem El Masri
3. Andrew Emelio
4. Willie Tonga
5. Matt Utai
6. Daniel Holdsworth
7. Brent Sherwin
8. Chris Armit
9. Corey Hughes
10. Roy Asotasi
11. Willie Mason
12. Andrew Ryan
13. Tony Grimaldi

14. Adam Perry
15. Reni Maitua
16. Mark O'meley
17. Nate Myles
