Players always defend other players. Seems to be a code of theirs.

If Tino is also cited for the forearm, the two incidents would see him get time off.
I reckon that SOO will ensure he gets off on the throw, and will not be cited for the elbow.

Ask yourself what if he had been a Bulldog - how many weeks?
Also need to remember they’re both queenslanders and have probably been in SoO camp together.

Who was the nice man from the Titans :grinning: who showed such concern for Reed and helped him up? :grinning:
Can't access the vid now. Lazing in the business class lounge at Sydney Airport, and killing time by looking at the Kennel

Always plenty of drama in here to keep the whole planeload entertained lol.

Good luck with the trip. Wish we were out there. Had an incredible weekend stargazing the planets and stars this weekend. Its so clear at the moment with this beautiful weather.

Who went to the sin bin for that elbow to the head?
Will Tino be cited by the judiciary, or is he protected for SOO?
Answers to all your questions are now available.

Q1: Who went to the sin bin for that elbow to head?

Answer: Nobody went to the sin bin because there was no elbow to the head. Nobody was penalised. I do however note that Mahoney went off for HIA which is somewhat puzzling given there was no elbow to the head. Mahoney likely tripped over on the bad surface and accidentally hit his head on the ground thereby knocking himself out thereby necessitating the HIA.

Q2: Will Tino be cited by the judiciary?

Answer: No. He has not been cited only fined. If he contests fine, the worst he can get is a bigger fine. Suspension is not even in the equation.

Q3: Is Tino protected for SOO?

Answer: Yes. Clearly, yes.

Comment: This is all really f**ked up. It was borderline a send off offence yet no sin bin not even a stinking penalty. If somebody like Waddell did the same thing he would get a 4 week suspension. It's bullsh*t. An explanation for the reasons why can be found in the commendable Kennel thread "NRL Corrupt"

He’s on report for the throw on TPJ. Let’s hope The General as Head of the MRC does us justice and cites him for the Reed incident too. That said even Mahoney said in the presser there wasn’t anything in it and ‘he should get off’. With Tino’s record he might be in a bit of strife. Should’ve been a penalty at the least though.
It should have been a penalty. Not being penalised after copping that hip drop decision makes it worse

I don’t get into the conspiracy stuff.

As for players defending other players, it didn’t work for Thompson when Tamau said he didn’t gouge him, but maybe that’s your point :-).
last year a player tripped and fell into thompsons leg head first and thompson was suspended for weeks lol. definite conspiracies against our club

The rules say different.
Yeah that's right you can't promote a forearm or elbow in a tackle attacker or defender. But what I can't fathom is that Tino got him in the head and that's been frowned upon all year accidental or not. I guess they added a clause to the rule "unless a Bulldogs player is involved" then HIA for the Dogs player and play on as if nothing happened.
