Junior Paulo can probably play 80 the bloke is fitter than he looks.
Good point! Lateral movement with big boys like Junior can be a problem too but if you have a mobile prop like Thompson you send more help over to the bog boy.

Somebody has probably already mentioned it but he needs somebody to go with him. Walmsley was the perfect front row partner. Renouf was good last night before he got injured but we need a Hargreaves type front rower to compliment him. Napa way too soft last night when it got physical in the middle and Tolman past it.
Was thinking this last night.... Should be doing everything to get Walmsley down here too. Considering Walmsley was the hot head at St Helens and Thommo doing a Walmsley at the dogs, these two blokes can be massive at the dogs. If we can somehow do a swap with Napa then its definitely a win...

Its pretty sad when a bloke who hasnt played for a while, goes from ESL to NRL, lands here and has to train himself in quarantine, trains with the boys for 2 weeks then comes out onto the field and provides more then most of our current players.

I like him alot, im just worried in our current system he will decline until he's just another plodder

Not sure there was too many disputing it as a good signing was there?
Plenty mate. We paid too much, he doesn’t look anything special in the super league, we should’ve got Walmsley instead, not the type of forward we need etc

Does Napa's contract expire this season or next season?

Hopefully in the next couple of years our forward pack will have a lot more agro and go forward to compliment Thompson.

Christian Welch is off contract this season and its a no brainer to go hard after him.

A forward pack consisting of Welch (off contract this year), To'omaga, Thompson, Dale Finucane (off contract 2021) would be a top 4 forward pack

Thompson is a future captain of our club

Vast majority of posts and people I spoke to about Thompson seemed excited and happy about the signing but I didn't really notice the minority though so fair enough.

Glad he found his feet early last night and hopefully it's just the start of new blood coming into the team.

I like Welch but he is one ACL away from retirement.

I like how he picks out the opposition beast and says let’s dance!

In one game he’s our forward leader

Napa is a cat
Tolman plodder

Jackson invisible

May as make him our captain too

Looks very promising to say the least. These Englishmen know how to dish it out. The "reverse" headbutt he put on Pangai, where he pulled him into his own head...Pure genius.

Walmsley is older, bigger and less mobile than Thompson but has a really good offload. Superior to Napa who imho has now become a bigger wuss than Woods.

We should be doing whatever we can to get Napa off the books.

Thompson is legit unlike all the poly props who whinge and dive and look at the ref and ask for penalties

He is already our best player by about a thousand miles .

That’s sad

Welch has done it twice in 2017 and last year. I still wouldn't mind if we got him but it's a worry.

Any player with an injury history definitely is a worry, though as he is a forward, to a lesser extent it would be less of a worry and worth the gamble.

If it was a spine/playmaker on massive dollars, than it definitely is a worry - eg. Foran!

See Tommy Turbo is a brilliant fullback no questions asked, though how many years has it been now where he is out every single year (atleast half a year out each time) with the same injury?

I guess I'm just gun shy because of the Foran experience too and he is the worst case scenario with injury after injury.

End of next season. We still have at least 30 more games of Napa to suffer through.

Would love to see him recruited and he is exactly what our pack is missing, a no apology tough prick to set the standard for the rest. The first bloke we should unleash him on if it ever happened would be that pussy Napa...
