Agree if done correctly it would be great. Unfortunately doing it properly would be next to no chance.

Doing it properly would involve massive infrastructure independent of any stadium.

Roads in around the precinct would need to be done. Adequate parking with good access would be required. Public transport would need to be put in place.

Another leagues club built as part of the project would also be a huge plus.

Realistically however a joint project between the Dogs & Tigers would be the only chance of getting something of this scope off the ground.
More chance of it happening if a shared stadium - cant imagine deals being done for a stadium that is used only 14 games a year - share with tigers for home games plus some A league games, if well designed would become a valuable venue. Wouldnt have to be as big as Parra Stadium - if the whole concept included an indoor venue Basketball/ netball etc or concert. conference venue - similar to what is at Chatswood - would be even better. There is a lot of land!

Does any other NRL club have their home ground(s) in a 'foreign' area?

It just doesn't sit right with me.
balmain is in Leichardt..that is beside the point we need our own proper functioning ground to consolidate our existence.

If they can accommodate GWS Giants as well, that would be ideal!

May be not that much land!- theres a few footy fields, heap of netball courts whitlam centre indoor stadium outdoor pool, parking etc already there - im not sure how much land the Leagues club owns - existing structures were, the last time i was there about a year ago, run down and dated.

I think if you were to build something. You wouldn’t want it any smaller than Parra Stadium. I think that sits at 30,000 which is where you would want to be. If you put a roof on it then it could also become the premier concert venue it Sydney.

There is so much potential if the finance and infrastructure is built around it.

With the new airport coming the Liverpool area will become a lot more central for everything than it is now.

If Livo cbf'd, give Bankstown a direct subway to the airport, bypassing The Crest, so we can invest in there instead.
Bring it all to Bankstown and let Livo die.

Aside from the commercial benefit and ability to mark a larger junior base if we are hoping to build a fortress we shouldn’t share with the tigers aside from their juniors playing there gfs there.

The issue Liverpool council has is that it requires not only re-zoning of the land, but they need to change the Liverpool environmental and development policies. The main reasons being that Liverpool doesn't have precinct development allowance, and they don't allow for buildings over 21 metres.

The planned development by the Bulldogs includes 10 buildings with most of them over 21 metres, and at least one building would be 77 metres.

If the policies were changed to allow this, then Liverpool would be flooded with requests for skyscrapers.
Very insightful

There is already multiple towers taller than 21 metres and The Liverpool Tower being built is 110m

With aerotropolis given the go ahead liverpool council should be working with Bulldogs to get this stadium built and make it Bulldogs home ground and have liverpool part of the Bulldogs district.

It would be a smart move for the club for many reasons but haven’t really heard anything about it for ages. Don’t think it has any traction.

It would be stupid not to work with the club, you go through Parramatta there's many tall buildings getting built also has a stadium and liverpool is supposed be the 3rd city in Sydney. Ned Mannoun can make this happen he and the board need to come to an agreement get the development happening and stop wasting time. Liverpool with a stadium (including the rest of the development) and the area to be part of Bulldogs base benefits both the club and the Liverpool.

I agree one really attractive part is expanding the junior catchment. You will start to open opportunities for all the talented kids in the south west corridor. I just haven’t heard anyone talk about it like it’s a real possibility.

It could become a possibility when the development including the stadium is approved and then complete the area becomes part of Bulldogs base as liverpool and surrounding areas becomes part of the junior base.

Just a quick question punters, who's going to pay for a new stadium? The Penrith Stadium refurbishment will be over $300 million, fcuk knows how much a new 40,000 seat stadium would cost, close to $1 billion I would expect. And that was a compromise after a proposal for a new ground was knocked on the head. People can't afford to put food on the table or pay their mortgages at the moment, there's no way the government will be throwing any coin at any new stadiums in Sydney. I'd love us to play in a new stadium but it just ain't happening.

Just remember....You'll never walk alone at Liverpool...or was that...its best not to walk alone at Liverpool...or was it....Liverpool is an area that's a natural fit for Dogs....being in Canterbury Bankstown there's no room to expand our development footprint APART from that SW corridor towards the airopolos.
We'd be CRAZY not to push for a stadium there, for if it's true that Albo wants to throw $600m at he NRL to secure a PNG side, then the NRL and the Fed and State Govts would love an NRL team based at Liverpool to help create excitement for the WS Airport..
