that’s what i didn’t understand about reynolds ‘giving sexton his spot’. isn’t top 30 only relevant before round 11?
It was a blatant lie, yet a mod here was banning posts questioning it. We had two others drop out earlier this year.

Sexton already had a top 30 contract at another club and he wants to be paid in full from both Titan/Dog. In that scenario Sexton needed a top 30 spot.

There was already spots. Davey dropped. That back up hooker @Bulldogsteve famously said was the next Harry Grant, and BBO TOO.

You really think the defensive system is too complicated bro? It’s no fkn trigonometry. They just have to defend as a unit and be committed.
To our players it's like learning to be a rocket scientist obviously

Funniest bit was when Gal said “what if the rabbits get 5-6 injuries in the forwards and they’re heading to the finals, why would you let him go to another club” and Gus suggests Knight still wouldn’t be picked lol.

Gunna be good to see if Rabbit’s 8th choice prop can put our cats on show.

Here is my complete(ly flawed) analysis of Knight vs. Sutton vs. RFM using NRL.com stats for this season.

*note* Knight has only played 4 games, so I picked 4 somewhat similar Bulldogs games that had to feature RFM and Sutton. This worked surprisingly decently vs. the same opponent, as our team performed similarly against Storm (we won 26 - 12, they won 28 - 12), Tigers (we won 26 - 22, they won 20 - 0), and Eels (Eels beat us 30 - 4, Eels beat Rabbit 36 - 16). For the fourth game, I looked for a close loss to match Rabbits losing 26 - 33 against Raiders. This gave us our 14 - 16 loss against Warriors (which we should've won, grrrrr!)

In terms of average {best} fantasy points per minute:
- Knight 0.94 - {1.2}
- Sutton 0.88 - {1.1}
- RFM 0.69 - {1.0}

Average {best} runs per minute:
- Knight 0.31 - {0.5}
- Sutton 0.22 - {0.3}
- RFM 0.18 - {0.2}

Average {best} metres per game /post-contact
- Knight 75.25m /25.5 - {106m /34}
- Sutton 80.5m /18.75 - {91m /29}
- RFM 84.75m /32.75 - {105m /49}

Average {best} per run: metres, /post-contact and [tackle-breaks]
- Knight 9.41 /3.19 [0.13] - {12.8 /6.0 [0.25]}
- Sutton 8.47 /1.97 [0.11] - {9.3 /2.6 [0.36]}
- RFM 9.97 /3.85 [0.18] - {11.8 /6.1 [0.43]}

Average {best} play the ball speed:
- Knight 3.46 - {3.23}
- Sutton 3.51 - {3.0}
- RFM 3.81 - {3.27}

Average {best} tackles per minute
- Knight 0.60 - {0.90}
- Sutton 0.79 - {0.88}
- RFM 0.55 - {0.72}

Average {best/worst} missed and ineffective tackles per minute
- Knight 0.05 - {0.03/0.08}
- Sutton 0.06 - {0.04/0.09}
- RFM 0.06 - {0.05/0.07}

Conclusion: Way too many flaws in this approach for any meaningful take-aways. Hope he works hard, rips in and plays well this weekend lol

does top30 after rd11 include a signing from another team or can it only be from within your own club?

Surely its Hoffman though it doesn't matter who it is really.

Watched the show pretty meh and i know why I don't really bother ever watching..Gallen should try and slow down when he talks as he sounds like he is permanently half cut.
Gallen is also wrong re Sharks their equally as good a chance of missing the 8, have just dropped 2 points they had likely pencilled in and play Penrith and Souths in the next 2 weeks.
Fairly likely they will be out of the 8 by the end of next weekend unless they win one of these 2 games.Cows follow 2 weeks after that(away).

There are too many on here that don’t understand all signings aren’t big money star signings. Knight will be on less than half what Sutton is on and is more than twice the player.

Our number one problem isn’t halfback. Our number one problem is our middle forwards. The current crop are not doing their job simple as that.

He is no superstar. But he is a minimum wage signing on a 1.25 year contract. He is a better option than what we have that is cheap. Some people wouldn’t be happy it wouldn’t matter who you signed.
I like the timing too. RFM’s performances this year have been abysmal and he should probably be 18th/19th man for the remainder of the season. It’s clear that Pele is going to be a long term project and we probably need to see him play bigger minutes consistently in the lower grades before he’s a realistic option.
The sooner we can offload/not re-sign RFM, Sutton, Thompson, TPJ, Okunbor & Waddell the better. That’s a lot of money tied up in very little production

Good timing for the run home with other players coming back. We have 3 very winnable games in the remainder of the season with dolphins, Manly (after potential straight losses to Rooster, Penrith and Wahs) and Titans. That will get us to 9 wins which will look alot better. Will help with morale recruitment etc.

Three people all walking out of the club in the pic of Knight's signing.
Liam, Gus AND Weidler all smiles.

Another FU to Fox?
