SMH are reporting the Dragons are permitted to stand down their 13 players over a four week period to ensure the club can still field a team. This equates to standing down 3.25 players per week over the four week period, or more simply, three players per week for three weeks and then four players on another week.

Using the same logic why didn’t the same rule apply to the Bulldogs. Of the five players stood down it could have been three one week and two the next.

The club needs to write to the NRL and seek clarification as to why we were not afforded the same opportunity.

There appears to be an ongoing bias by the league against the Bulldogs and they need to be held accountable.

It’s time for our CEO to step forward and show some leadership. We are not asking to be treaded any different, in fact are only asking to be treaded the same.

Our 5 visited a covid hotspot. They are forced in to isolation until they are cleared not an Nrl decision.

As far as we are told, the only people at Vaughan's party was players in the bubble, hence no exposure to covid.

I mean OP is actually right to some degree. Also they would have been exposed to Covid. Vaughn’s wife was there who isn’t in the bubble. They also arrived by Uber or Taxi which they mentioned on NRL 360 breached the bubble Regs.

Yeah I had wondered if people outside the bubble were there?

Peter Valandy's is a life long Dragons supporter.

Even if this didn't impact their decision, I just thought this info would be interesting to watch when fed to the circling vultures.

They have the bye this week so they are actually being stood down over 3 weeks which is 4 players per game.

The dragons have come up far worse imo
they were never going to beat manly . They were better off having the players all suspended for that match instead they won’t have a full squad for multiple rounds .

We need to be better managed so our players do the right thing. A senior player in Napa should have shown leadership and suggested they avoid going to the hotspot. They also shouldn't have been drinking within a few hours of a training session. We need to become the powerhouse we once were and command respect rather than playing the victim all the time.

Because ours were allegedly at a COVID hot spot so they had to stand down for 14 days. However, it has been reported that there were women & others at the Dragons BBQ which Vaughan denies, so surely they too should be stood down until it is proven one way or the other. So what happens now if it is found out the reports are true? Tariq Sims & Ben Hunt have now mixed with the origin squads so will those players then have to stand down & then those they came in contact with. In effect the whole competition?

which is ridiculous. When in the history of the game has a club been given an option of when they can stand players down? So what is the new rule? How many players before it gets spread over various weeks? It needs to be addressed so we have consistency in the future.

Not sure why Sims and Hunt would have anything to do with it when they weren't there

So they haven't mixed with the Dragons players who were?
When would they have had an opportunity? Party happened Saturday night, police and the club (and NRL) have been all over it from Sunday morning and those guys would've been called into camp Sunday arvo.
