FMD he'll probably cop a fine that is at least 10 times larger than the profit he could have made on the speakers.....he stole.
He didn't steal them. He enquired in the office if anyone wanted them and was told NO....they are rubbish. So he offered to take possession and dispose of them any way he could. Where's the problem again?
The place is run by a bunch of good for nothing dobbers.

This story and the Elliott story… will be good when all is eventually revealed for transparency.

Lewis surely doesn’t flog speakers and sell them, has to be a dare or some kind of joke…guys off-contract who aren’t regularly playing are losing focus and probably bored AF.

Didn't someone in this thread say that Danny Weidler reported the speakers were sold. So it's not a joke gone wrong.

So he wore a hoodie to try conceal his identity and the same ppl who said no it's rubbish just take it then had to use CCTV to locate it? Like a Lachlan Lewis pass to his winger this is a swing and a miss

R Kelly tried that defence as well. It was just a dare that I filmed those under-age girls having sex with me.

This story seems to have gone very quiet, the Weidler Weasel blowing it out all proportion perhaps?

NRL may refuse to register $450k Bulldog’s new deal over alleged speaker theft
AUGUST 31, 2021
The NRL may refuse to register any new contract for Bulldogs halfback Lachlan Lewis after he was accused of taking a speaker and attempting to sell it on eBay.

Lewis was stood down on Friday amid allegations he had attempted to take the speaker – which was given to all clubs by the NRL – and had attempted to sell it on.

“The Bulldogs have made the NRL aware of an alleged incident involving Lachlan Lewis,” the Bulldogs said in a statement. “The club are currently working with the NRL Integrity Unit regarding the matter.

“As a result, the Bulldogs have stood Lewis down until that process has been completed. The club is not in a position to comment further at this stage.”

Speaking on Tuesday Channel 9 reporter Danny Weidler revealed that there was vision which implicated Lewis in the whole debacle.

“When you hear about it you think ‘what the hell’,” Weidler said.

“Lachlan Lewis is on $450,000 why is he taking a sound bar? I wish it wasn’t serious but I think the NRL are taking it seriously.

“There’s CCTV with Lachlan Lewis in the hotel with a hood on and a mask on his face taking this thing.

“The only thing that’s maybe saving him from further drama is that the transaction never went through, there was no exchange of goods.”

Weidler revealed that Lewis, who is yet to secure a club for 2022, faced an uphill battle in getting a new contract.

“He’s off contract and at the moment I don’t know if he’s getting a new club,” Weidler added.

“Even if he does the NRL might not register a contract for him given what’s happened, that’s how seriously they’re taking it.

“If Latrell was the biggest on field story, this is the wackiest, it’s bizarre. It’s the last thing that club needed after Adam Elliott.”

Oh fhs.

Pretty dumb by Lewis but they've signed off on contracts to thugs, rapists, criminals, wife beaters, druggos.

Are they serious or is it a Weezler beat up.

Will they register a QLD Cup or Sydney Shield contract though? I think that's more important for Lachie now.
