It is due to the fact that many groups of people do not like that said group of people especially with all the power, finance, propaganda and control issues they have introduced and propagated into this world, plus I believe there is a clash of ideologies between these groups on who should be supreme and who should be a slave down to its core...

It is also much easier to confront and attack said group of people when they don't have trigger happy soldiers standing behind/guarding them who shoot first and don't ask later

The Twitter people are trying to sell this like it's a Nostradamus prediction or something, but it's just what everyone has been saying for a long time. Fires are getting worse. The Fire Brigade, the scientists, even the park rangers. They've all been saying that fires are getting worse, and all it takes is a spark and a bad wind. And everyone ignores it like it'll never happen until it happens.

The hypocrisy is staggering. Scientists highlighted this is going to happen years ago but it got ignored by many because we just love burning shit.

You would be amazed though how many fires are actually started by stupidity, arson or RFS. Lightning strikes can cause fires but generally, lightning comes with rain. These are all true stories. The idiot that decided to muck around with an angle grinder on an extreme fire risk today (that fire was around Mudgee). The idiot that dressed up as a RFS guy and walked into the Royal National Park with fuel and cigarette lighters (that fire was stopped just south of Sutherland). The RFS idiots that decided to back burn to meet a schedule despite adverse weather conditions (Blue Mountains, North Shore). The RFS idiot that decided work was slow so started lighting fires around Picton/Bargo.

And we haven't got to bored kids yet.

Problem is you never hear about these guys getting found guilty. No one wants the deets out in case of copy cats. And I will guarantee all the images on tele has our firies nervous. They know some idiot is thinking its a good idea right now.

It says that the budget covered all aspects including equipment, staff (including ancillary staff), construction, everything. And it went from $837.2 million to $819.64 billion.

It's a nice fear mongering news selling point. But realistically, it wouldn't have had an impact.

He knows SFA. Would love to see this keyboard warrior say that stuff to my friends who lost their houses faces. Pretty sure I know how at least one of them would react too. Grub.

In more positive news it’s great to see the rallying of decent humans. I know people from OC and even as far south as San Diego who’ve driven trailers of food and clothing donations to rallying points where it’s distributed to those who need it. I’m also aware of a company doing a dollar for dollar matching program for employee donations and in just 3 days they’ve raised more than $150k which will go to initiatives such as paying insurance gaps where cover was reduced vs the actual cost of rebuilding. No doubt there’s many more stories of good deeds so we can ignore the gaggle who contribute nothing other than dribble poison online.

Got stoned last night (yeah - I know you're surprised) and saw a Fox interview with Mel Gibson. Balanced about the loss of property with his fam safe. But then he went down the rabbit holes. Conspiracy to depopulate the LA area so it can be taken over. All politically driven. Wonder if he really thought this through? Why would a Dem heavy state depopulate to fill it with... Dems?
