What do you think of KB at fullback?
Should we chase him?

For sure! he's an excellent play maker. He could be Barba 2012.

Will need to add on a few Kg's of muscle in the off season also.

I think he would be a great signing if he can control his off field life (which he is doing currently). Still young - can be a long term player in the No. 1 positon for us.

Has represented at super rugby level and has played tests for Australia. Aint no dud.

It's been a while since we had a good fullback thread.

Barba was weak under the high ball and couldnt tackle, But Des improved both traits.

But I do agree his tackling isn't something to be desired lol.

He is a far more complete player than Barba ever was a sever will be. I have followed him since he was a schoolboy and in my honest opinion he would be the icing on the cake for us. The way I see it you can have a powerful weapon at fullback like Inglis and Folau or a skilful deceptive fullback like Inglis, Stewart, Slater. Hayne kind of falls into both. I'd prefer a powerful kind of fullback but failing that Beale would not disappoint, especially since he'd be able to cover halves, centre or wing if needed.

However keep in mind that Hasler was merely a spectator in the crowd. There is nothing to suggest its anything more than that. I'd also be very doubtful of our chances of securing a top rugby player less than 12 months from the rwc

Would take him in heartbeat but highly doubt we can afford him.

Kurtley Beale is no certainty for the RWC squad, having said that, he could certainly draw big money from European rugby teams to play there.... the fact he hasn't kinds of shows he is wanting to keep his eligibility for the Wallabies.

Most importantly, as you said, Des was a spectator at the game, the top reasons he was there likely had nothing to do with scouting players.

Why would Des draw attention to himself if he was scouting?
