Opinion Kayo- poor quality

If anyone uses the app built in their TV they are flaky at best, they aren't updated on the regular and most TV lack the grunt to run them well.

A dedicated device is always best, a Chromecast is the best value otherwise a Apple TV offers the best experience and quality for video snobs out there like me.

I finally cancelled Kayo last month. There are free ways to watch that are the same quality, just need decent adblock for chrome or the Brave browser. I am never going back.

I've got a Hisense UHD one with Kayo on the remote and have never had any issues. Sometimes you get a few stutters here and there but nothing major. I've also got an AppleTV 4K hooked up to it for Optus Sport and don't really notice a difference. (when i run Kayo on it).

See above. Make sure you have ublock origin installed if using chrome. Some ads will slip though but you get used to how to close them and continue on. Brave browser prob best.

Is anyone else having issues with kayo ? Glitchy, drops out and buffers all the time.
This whole year it’s been much worse than last season.

Kayo Sports Help

I came across the above article (click on link) and followed the instructions to clear the cache on Kayo on my telly.So far (three or four days) it's working like a charm.

Seems to be always having issues with the TV app.

Like tonight while trying to watch the game delayed and it keeps buffering while the game is playing in the background.

Tried clearing the data cache, reinstalling the app multiple times to no avail


No issues with my laptop though

I can't fit a bigger TV in my room, my front left and right tower speakers are on both sides and there's about 20cm of ventilation space.

Besides I'm quite happy with my 55"

For me it depends on how i watch it. On one of my TVs i use a Telstra TV box and the Kaypo app is fone. On my phone is seems ok, but when i Chromecast from my phone to my other TV (that doesn't have the Kayo app on it), i get a bit of freezing and lag, but i suspect this is due to the TV being at the furthest point from my modem and therefore a wearer wifi signal all round.
