The brothers smashed it for us on Saturday night.. forget BJ last try they gave his side a bath all night

Forget age their form is consistently outstanding..

Good pickup by the Sharks again at our expense.. 2years is the good length of time would have given us time to find a decent replacement

Josh Morris crosses from Bulldogs

Canterbury centre Josh Morris is the latest big name to depart Belmore as he prepares to take up a two-year deal with Cronulla from 2019.

NRL.com understands Morris will link with the Sharks from next season, having also met with Gold Coast coach Garth Brennan recently once it became clear that the Bulldogs' salary cap squeeze could see him exit the club.

Neither Canterbury or Cronulla have officially confirmed the move as of Tuesday night, however it's understood that Morris is viewed by Shane Flanagan as an experienced backline option with Edrick Lee, Jesse Ramien (Newcastle) and Ricky Leutele (Toronto Wolfpack) all exiting The Shire at the end of the year.

After arriving from junior club St George Illawarra in 2009, Morris has clocked up 208 games and exactly 100 tries for the Bulldogs, playing a key role in their charges to the 2012 and 2014 grand finals.

With Morris and his brother Brett both coming off-contract at the end of 2018, it is unclear where the latter's future lies, though the Sharks move for Josh ends any possibility of the pair continuing their careers together.

Josh, who turns 32 in August, will join ex-teammate Aaron Woods at Cronulla next year, with the Sharks also picking up the NSW and Test front-rower last week as a result of Canterbury's salary cap dramas.

As well as striking a couple of serious blows on the recruitment front, it's understood the Sharks are also close to announcing extensions for boom winger Sione Katoa and back-rower Jayson Bukuya.

Yeah this sucks balls and is very depressing.

I don't care if he only had a year or two left in him, we should have kept Jmoz. I swear to god the people involved in fucking up our salary cap so bad should be held criminally liable. How Dib and Castle can essentially get promoted is absolutely beyond me, at least there is a small consolation that Des is still clogging up the centrelink line.

This is crap.

Can't blame him though. In good form, got his last big contract and has a better chance of getting a premiership ring.

Another sad day for Belmore, he's been good for us, hope we can save Brett.

The sharks are protected by the NRL .
The club was going broke then the NRL stepped in to save the club, got busted for peptides nothing happened then won a premiership and now unlimited cap.

Please don't tell me the sharks can use Jmoz as their veteran player allowance as well...

Yep for sure. I am so confident that there is no club within the cap currently playing in the nrl. How many teams have half there team with juniors on 100k or so a year. If I have got this right, 30 players in each club in the cap. What are they all being paid? Say 30x$100,000 each adds up to 3 mil.. whats the cap 3.8 mil whatever. Some players getting $900 thousand a year.. tpas. It’s all rubbish. You can either spend the cap at whatever it is or you dont that’s it.. this is all bullshit.
the salary cap is $9.1 million

Do the sharks ever recruit from any other club other than Penrith and the Bulldogs?
