Josh Curran's hit

Don’t underestimate the dirty work he does that make others look good. He is massive to our team.
Hes massive but i feel we will be ok. Mahoney, presto and King do majority of our tackling. Throw in Mann we should be ok.

I was at the game on Saturday. We really need some size in the middle. DSF to replace Curran. Bailey and the weak gutted dog are good defenders and should be on the bench. Montoya was putrid. He made me vomit 3 times. Replace him with the Fijian flyer. I like Wilson but he gets brutalised more often than a gay inmate in Long Bay. We desperately need Shiraz. Preston and Mann were impressive. Tracey fuck ups led to tries but he’ll improve. Burton needs to kick it up a notch. Looked a bit lazy out there.

Shrug the game off!!! Ciro will handle them he will destroy them
At training and get them back to the defence..

Preston hasn’t missed a beat

This situation has been almost completely ridiculed by oppo fans. That tells you something. The fact Lemiu only got 1 more week for his much more intentional shot just makes it a joke.

Bulldogs tax.. where is the consistency they are talking about, season hasn’t even started and there was been 2 major mistakes.

Curran's tackle on Bronco Jack Gosiewski in the closing minutes of Saturday's clash in Redcliffe saw him sent to the sin bin and facing a one-game ban with an early guilty plea. Should Curran challenge the charge and be found guilty at the judiciary he would miss two matches.

Curran's teammate Max King will be fined $1000 if he enters an early guilty plea to a Grade 1 Careless High Tackle charge.

PlayerChargeRecordPleaPenalty
Lewis Dodd (Rabbitohs)Grade 2 Careless High Tackle1st offenceTBC1-2 matches
Josh Curran (Bulldogs)Grade 2 Careless High Tackle1st offenceTBC1-2 matches
Max King (Bulldogs)Grade 1 Careless High Tackle1st offenceTBC$1000-$1500 fine
Riley Wake (Panthers)Grade 1 Dangerous Contact1st offenceTBC1 match*
Kit Laulilii (Wests Tigers)Grade 1 Dangerous Contact1st OffenceTBC$1000-$1500 fine

He either takes the 1 match suspension or risks an appeal at the judiciary, which if he loses means 2 weeks suspension.

Team Work

Spencer only 2 weeks lol.

Sent from my SM-S918B using Tapatalk

Actually has a fairly good record, the 8 week ban for the racial comment isn't included in his 'poor' record. Thought 2 was about right, it was twice as bad as the other two incidents and treated as such.

Not sure how realistically Spencer was getting more than he did. They never grade them intentionally so scrap that thought. It was careless anyway the guy was coming down. 2nd offence only, so 2-3 matches is appropriate it wasn't some utter thug hit and I hate the Bondi Chequebooks.

I cant see why the MRC or even the judiciary dont take the logical approach of who initiated contact?

If your head charges (or even falls) at a shoulder, knee, hip or other head, all bets are off.

If you slip, its an accident. All bets are off.

It seems fairly simple to judge as far as im concerned and benefit of the doubt should go to the defender in an effort to protect the game and spectacle.

I hate this approach of blaming the defenders when all they are trying to do is stop the player from charging at them.

After what has taken place at my Dallas Mavericks, I don't think I can handle more of this bullshit lol

There is zero logic to how these matters are looked at. The sole edict is about avoiding lawsuits in the future.

If they can say we have outlawed all contact with the head. It gives them some argument to fight back with. Unfortunately the black and white approach to tackles like this, is changing the fabric of the game. In some ways for the better but in other ways most definitely not for the betterment of anything.

Game has changed whether we like it or not. There won't be a game in 10 years if we went that way of blaming the guy that's been hit in the head. Defenders know where they are tackling, come on they do they are professional athletes. Curren didn't mean it he's not that type but it was careless and the current rules are that he bears responsibility if a tackle goes wrong. The game will be sued if we dial back these ramifications.

Kiraz, Sitili injuries
Curran suspension
Sexton not training all offseason
CCs stubbornness
Didn't sexy train all offseason what the hek. What was wrong with him ? So is that why he kept running the ball to get the km's in the legs in the trial
