I think jackson could move to lock he could be like JT. He does a heap of defence and really hits the ball up similar to a front rower taking 2 or 3 guys to bring him down. He plays 80. He doesnt really hit holes but is the 1st guy picked every week. It might even help him get back in the nsw team now Murray is playing 2nd row for souths

The club are absolutely kidding themselves.

    We DONT NEED A WINGER.

Move Remis back to the wing. Get a top notch centre. Fuk I'm sure if we offered Cotric the type of money we would pay fox, he would come.

Fox is a superstar in the storm system. For the dogs he will be a decent player we pay overs for.

We NEED a hooker. Unless the club recruits a decent hooker. We wont be anywhere near top 8 team.

Dont know if we need him or not but he's one of the best wingers in the game so I won't complain if it happens.

Exactly, wing is the one position we don't need to recruit firstgrade ready players yet the club is going ahead to add a third one. Smith @ Centre, DWZ @ fullback are never going to be good enough yet the club looks to have no interest in changing that. Club probably just wants a big name they can show off to try and appease certain fans.

JAC is a luxury player that puts the cherry on top. As others have said we have some decent wing options in Smith and DWZ which could be a decent pairing. We should be focusing on filling other positions so those two aren’t played at centre and fullback....

Agree it’s definitely not an area we need to spend big but I’d still take him as he is a big game player. Huge experience and will hopefully make the players around him better.

I know yu have very strong opinions, but it is way too early to say that Reimis will never make a quality centre!! Way too early.

Still can't believe how badly okunbour and CHN fucked up. They left such a massive hole in our 2020 squad. Our most creative backrower, and a big, tall winger who could have developed into a real X factor IMO.. We would be much better off throwing some solid coin at Bateman and persisting with the backs we have though. JAC is not a priority at all IMO.

We have plenty of money for next year. It's madness to be upset about buying a player like addo carr. There's no reason why we can't buy addo carr plus a gun hooker, centre, fullback and edge backrower. Everyone complains about not having skrike outwide which we don't. We finally have skrite with the potential signing of addo carr then people still complain. Wtf?

Agreed. Top class winger with lightning speed who knows how to use it.
We all agree other positions are more of a priority but we don’t need to wait for a decent hooker or centre to be available before making other premium purchases. You’d hope after these years we are now in a position to buy the best when they become available instead of other clubs swooping in. Be ruthless.
Plus DWZ, Meaney and Reimis can have a rocket thrown up them to be better

Cotric, Drinkwater, aitken, lomax, sami, moga, bird, alex johnson, gagai. Take your pick and we have harper. I remember watching tim simona play reserve grade and never looked that good delouise heoter was in front of him got injured playing nrl. Simona scored 2 tries on debout and killed it until he became a grub

I don’t think we would have enough money to buy all those you listed and JAC. My order of priority would be hooker, fullback, centre, back row and then wing. If we had all those filled the winger combo would be DWZ and Smith which would be one of the better wing combos in the game.

Drinkwater for fullback hes a gun. Go hard for bateman even if we pay overs. Id buy Granville at hooker he will turn a new leaf at a new club he still has 2 or 3 yrs left and gf experience. Take a punt on Jack Bird at centre hes a proven game winner. Hes had injurys but even tedesco had 2 or 3 knee reconstructions with seasons out and came good.

I couldn't agree more. The whole backline is playing out off position. It's a big part of the reason our attack looks disjointed.

    Check it out

    CURRENT BACKLINE

    1. DWZ. - winger
    2. Meaney - FB
    3. Smith - winger
    4. Hoppa. - FB. Too slow for centre.
    5. Crichton - winger

    6. Wakeham
    7. Lewis

    PROPOSED

    1. Hoppa or Meaney - FB
    2. DWZ. - winger
    3. Averillo - centre
    4. Harper. - centre
    5. Smith. - winger

    6. Wakeham
    7. Foran

That's a balanced backline with big / fast wingers on the outside of 2 specialist centres that can hit gaps, skip around defenders or bust open the line. Exactly the type of centres that compliment Foran and Wakehams style of taking on the line and picking out the player running into space.

There is no doubting Averillo skills and Harper, in the games his played hasn't put a foot wrong. Both have played the majority of their juniors in the centres and with wakeham in the halves you have ready made combinations.

JAC is a luxury and we already have 2 more than capable wingers in DWZ and Smith. The common sense approach should make the priority of getting blokes into position, determining if the position needs upgrading then go shopping.

In the meantime he should go shopping for a hooker, reliable half and edge backrower to replace CHN. Or better still the club should show some balls and campaign to get CHN back.

I think To'omaga is being groomed as a backrower since the fallout with CHN. That's if reports are true. Either way, Bateman would be a fucking sensational pickup! And next year with the addition of Thompson we would have a very nice pack indeed.
    Napa
    JMK/or a better option
    Thompson
    Bateman
    Jackson
    Elliot

    To'omaga
    Britt
    RFM
    Averilo

With the interchange being reduced to 6 big wingers will still be helpful. But I do think it that smaller wingers will make a little bit of a resurgence as they will have plenty of opportunities late in each halves with coaches trying to save and running out of changes

Yeah i agree i think you need more speed at fullback then centre though to run your edge plays or hit a whole up the middle. Hoppa is too good a player to leave out he can be a defencive type centre who sets his winger up or runs the block. If hoppa had speed he would be a gun. Ive never seen Averillo play i missed his debout, was he a gun junoir i never seen him play nsw or anything but niether did cam smith
