Is there any news about how his season went and if he's still a project to be our future fullback ? There was so much talk last year haven't heard much this year would love to know.

Last year we had Haysi Fantayzee playing fullback and we where sweating on the development of this kid.
You'd think for now Tracey will keep the role and with an injury free preseason being an incumbent fullback, will be way better for it.

All I've heard mentioned this year was that he's been poor. I don't know if that's to do with a step up against adults, whether he was looking good because of players surrounding him or that he just peaked early.

But that's why I try not to get over excited about youngsters. Montoya, Okunbor, Mbye, Rajab etc were all going to be guns and we should have promoted them early until it became clear that they weren't up to it.

He can play, no issue about that, just lacking size atm.

He'll have a good year next and probably hit his straps for 2026.

I think he and KO are the same age too.

Just going by your typical posts, you'd replace more than 2/3rds of the team because they won't get us to the top 4. We weren't making the 8 this year according to most of the talking heads. We had one of the least experienced teams in the comp this year. They'll be better next year hopefully. If they're not we have quite a lot of contract for 26. I'd rather not see quality youngsters pushed out because we chased guys near retirement in bulk.

If you go back to the last golden era we had, most of it recruits that became household names showed promise, but were generally fringe players. O'Meley and Andrew Ryan had good debut seasons but had dropped back to reserves. Vagana was in and out of the NRL for the warriors. Patten had debuted but been dropped because he had issues with tutoring grubbers.

My point is that maybe we've finally got the coaching staff again that can get more out of players than they've shown yet. If Ciraldo and his team can keep improving our players we'll become a destination club again. Makes it easier to recruit players with promise of we show we can get the best out of them.

He is also one of the best footy brains in the game, next to DCE.

And footy brains is what our team lacks the most.

He is slowing down, no doubt. But can take a bomb better than any other FB, can dummy half run like Tedesco and one if the better support players in the middle.

If Shane Flanagan is looking at him when he has Sloane already there, then its obvious there are people out there that see what i see.....

Remember that Tracey didn’t have a pre season. He’ll be even better next season.
