It'll be interesting to see if either of these two kick on. I don't know if we let them go without a fight. Perhaps the club has more faith in others coming through. But to some extent player managers will have a lot of influence these days on whether youngsters stick around a club.

The Eels are going to have some opportunity for youngsters given that they've had an exodus recently. So you honestly can't blame young players for jumping towards these clubs. When we were at one of our lowest points we took some punts on youngsters in Cogger and Meaney from the knights (just to name a couple). And while neither if them went on to become huge names, I think they got good exposure with us and launched their careers.

Neither Samrani or Papalii were seemingly on a fast track here so they've just taken their chances elsewhere.
 
So that’s 2 young talented players gone in (Joash & Alamoti) from the club within 12months!

The wraps & achievements both players copped in the Jr grades was glowing.. yet the club didn’t persist with them…why?

What will happen to this Mitchell Woods then if he has an average season at Belmore… will he be shown the door as well?

Semrani I’m not too fussed about as he was an import from the Sharks, but the ones that have come thru the Jr’s and done well, surely we need to be a little more patient with them & not allow them to leave like we’ve recently done with Alamoti and now Joash

Just my thoughts…
 
A shame but fuck them tbh they joined the scum. Wouldn’t really of cared if they joined any other team that isn’t Eels, Bunnies, Roosters or Manly
 
It puts to rest any discussion of Tracey simply holding the spot until Papalii takes the next step. Really would love to know what Gus and Ciro are thinking medium term about fullback.
