A couple of years ago it was Klemmer and Elliot being featured for their boyhood love of our club - let’s hope these boys don’t also turn into disappointing humans!!
That’s why it’s important you have a good home life. Some may laugh at this comment but having a wife/partner who is supportive and understanding and doesn’t rule over you and you have siblings and parents who only want what’s best for you and you are surrounded by good people in a good environment goes a long way in helping you make right decisions. Does Mrs Klemmer ring a bell?

He’s been our best back in reserve grade?
8 games- 4 tries , 5 line breaks , 4 try assists, 19 offloads and averaging 150 metres. Not bad for a young centre.

They’re just like us hahaha if they weren’t playing footy they’d probably be on here with us stressing every week talkin’ shit lmao respect
Yeh bro, cut them and they'll bleed blue and white just like us.

I have always had the opinion that players growing up supporting the dogs or from the area or are Canterbury Juniors(St Johns, Chester hill, Moorebank, St Christophers, Bankstown Sports etc etc) give that extra 5% - 10% on the field, now of course there are exceptions but they generally play that extra harder regardless of the pay cheque because there is some emotion involved.

If you had about 8 first graders in your line up who are Canterbury Juniors each playing with that extra 5% of effort and desire, it's like having 14 on the field. Nothing beats playing together and coming through the grades like the Penrith players. Your attack is better and your defence is better and they play for each other regardless who is the coach. Ivan Clearly is a very lucky man, he doesn't have to do much at the foot of the mountains.

Shoupp shut down Staggs and Manu in consecutive weeks..
He has been more than solid in every game..
Naden on the other hand..lol
Yep Schoupp has been good in defence. I never said he hasn’t been.

But he hasn’t shown much in attack.

May I also add, that our last premiership team in 2004 had a lot of players who made their FG in Canterbury colours. They weren't ready made superstars. Guys like Mason, Maitua, SBW, Thurston, Asotasi, Sherwin, EL Masri, Harris, Anasta, Hughes & Utai all made their FG debuts at our club and played in our lower grades first, not to mention Sherwin, El Masri, Hughes & Utai being PURE Canterbury Juniors playing for the local competition from a very young age. Then you had rejects that we picked up along the way who bought into our culture like Patten & Tonga. That team only had two established stars that we bought from other clubs in Andrew Ryan & O'Meley, the rest we're either home grown or developed.
