I note that it doesn’t mention what type/level of contract. Could be NSWRL contract or NRL Train and Trial or NRL Supplementary or NRL Top 30. Could be a progression contract through any number of levels with KPI’s required before moving up to the next level. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are excited to announce the contract extensions of young forward talents, Jack Todd and Jack Underhill.
Todd, who joined the Club from northern New South Wales in 2019, has extended his time at Belmore until the end of the 2026 season.
A no-nonsense middle forward, the 22-year-old has starred in the Club’s Pathways system – most recently in the NSW Cup - and will be pushing to make his NRL debut in the 2025 season.
Underhill, signed until the end of the 2028 season, enters 2025 off a man of the match performance in the 2024 Jersey Flegg Cup Grand Final victory.
A front rower with a big presence in the middle of the field, the 20-year-old Queenslander will join the NRL squad on a full-time basis immediately.
Bulldogs Members and supporters will be able to witness both players in action this Sunday in the Bulldogs’ first Pre-Season Challenge match against the Wests Tigers at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium at 5:30pm.
General Manager of Football Phil Gould AM expressed his delight in securing the duo ahead of season kick-off.
“These are two of the brightest prospects at the Club,” Gould said.
They arrived at the Club as boys looking for an opportunity, and they have grown into fine men who represent the Bulldogs in a dignified and professional manner.
“They have put in the hard work and are now ready to reap the rewards. These two are NRL players of the future.”
