until Foran gets injured.

I’ve seen enough of Cogger and Lewis now to be sure that Cogger is another Trent Hodkinson who touches the ball a lot but does nothing meaningful. And Lewis at least engages the line, has vision (kick on the 4th after seeing Gutherson in the line) and has heart with a great chase on Kaysa Pritchard.
If Pay plays Cogger ahead of Lewis, it’s because he’s embarrassed by his dud purchase.

JMK is not a halfback's arsehole.

Lewis looks the goods.

If Cogger doesn’t see first grade he’ll only have himself to blame. Could have forced the issue and come to us this season. He was happy to stay in Newcastle and that has opened the door for Lewis to get a shot.

Ideally the offseason will see all our halves showing enough that Pay has a hard time deciding who to pick. Logic tells us that Foran should be a front runner. But Lewis is certainly staking his claim. He looked pretty comfortable acting as primary playmaker. And he seems keen to be involved in everything. I still haven't seen Cogger play, but I'd be happy to see Lewis hold a spot as starting half.

I havent seen anything from Cogger that he will make a good NRL half.. he may develop into one in time but needs more time in lower grades..

I had the pleasure of seeing players like Sherwin, JT, Barba Ponga in reserves - even though it was reserves you knew when you saw them they will make it & succeed at NRL..

At the moment the most promising kid ive seen is Lewis out of our kids

What about Brandon Wakeham the kid we have in jersey flegg. Big wraps on him. Ive never watched him. If anyone has can he handle 1st grade next year?

He won’t jump from Flegg to NRL just won’t happen

Cogger off to a good start tonight, thrown the pass for two Fitzgibbon tries in the first half
