JAC replacement. Enari Tuala?

Dogs told Eels to f..k off AGAIN while enquirying about Wilson reportedly. Montoya is a back up covering wing and centre. This new guy is a back up to our back up (Montoya).

Eels likely to sign JAC

Only way we'd be letting Wilson go is if we sign Gutho so Tracey moves to wing. Wouldn't surprise me actually if Ciraldo and Gus think we need a more experienced 1 like Gutho. I'm hoping we sign Paps for 2026 rather than Gutho. We need some Xfactor especially with Foxx leaving

We are losing 5 outside back in Addo-Carr, Skelton, Perham, Samrani, Papalii so it makes sense we would look to bring in a couple ready made replacements, especially as Clarke and Sua still look a season or two away from being NRL ready.

I would say Wilson is next in line to replace Addo-Carr as he was the first choice pick whenever Addo-Carr was out injured. Wilson has great speed and you need that in your team. Montoya while he has his flaws, is better than when he left, and he runs the ball hard so i see him getting a run whenever Kiraz gets moved into the centres. He might even start the season until Wilson is 100%.

Yet Montoya still makes the same mistakes. Can't read the play, panics, rushes in off his wing, takes no-one in the end, turning circle of a container ship and a try is scored.

What does everyone think of Josh Addo Carr labouring?

Bullshit publicity stunt IMO.

The guys on 500k a season for how long and we’re supposed to believe he’s hard up for money?!

Pisses me off how dumb they think the fans and public are…

As for Enari Tuala he seems like just a depth signing.

Which he’s perfect for and can do a job if injuries strike.

I saw him having to work like the rest of the population and felt soooo sorry for him. I'm not going to support the Bulldogs anymore as a result.

Sarcasm out of the way. I thought it's absolutely a publicity stunt. I'm guessing he expected more sympathy for getting the sack. I appreciated him joining the club when he did. I appreciated what he bought to the club. But in the end I was pissed off that he couldn't wait a few weeks until our season was officially finished to get on the nose beers and go for long drives. As much as the club say that the players were insulated from the media scrutiny etc that followed on from the headlines splashed across the papers and tv. I think it would've had some mental effect on them.

And I'm sure that given he's been found out to not quite be the clean skin he was portrayed as, there'd be a few less people buying his merch for their kids than he'd have hoped for in the lead up to Christmas. Hence hon dropping his I've still got to put food on the table spiel.

I have no doubt he'll get a new contract sooner or later. But he's in a position now where his sticks have dropped off in value. He's just come off an injury plagued season, taken drugs at the worst possible time for the club he's crying he was committed to and he's refused to own it like an adult should.

I don't wish I'll of him and I voted not to sack on the poll we had, but not because I really wanted him to stay, I just think it sucks that the only ones that suffer will be the club. He'll be back earning big dollars elsewhere soon enough. Probably learned to take ubers while on the nose beers from now on and the media will be waiting to jump on his fucking redemption story when next he scores a try in the NRL and they'll probably paint our club as the villains for sacking poor little Joshy.

If Tuala signs we will have 2 players, Tuala and Montoya in the squad who can cover the wing and centre, which are totally different positions when the opposition has the ball.

Add Sitili to the mix who can cover back row and centre.

This gives us a lot more flexibility when the inevitable injuries happen in games and CC is forced into a reshuffle, which can often be disastrous as the opposition targets the reshuffled area.

We saw last year how valuable some of the utilities were, and when we lost the best one in Mann, we never won another game from that point.

Yeah exactly. I just think it's insulting for him to come out and say he's just "trying to put food on the table" or whatever that bullshit quote was that we're supposed to believe.

Most of us are living on at least less than half of what he's been earning his entire adult life and that's not even taking into account the apparel and stuff he sells.

So on top of lying to Gus and the club, he's still not keeping real and pretending to be on hard times.

Pretty disappointing...

Funny thing is, he will 100% score against us and I can see the *****

I would have been much less annoyed with him if he'd straight up said "I messed up and I apologise to the fans and team mates that I've let down through what was a selfish act."

I didn't think Montoya would start, thought Wilson would have that wing spot locked down for next season. Though, Montoya & Tuala both had good seasons & can see Wilson going elsewhere if either of them start in front of him.

He probably just wants to keep active and not sit around doing nothing. Good on him

Yeah me too. If he just came out and owned it like that in the first place then happy days!

Yep but usually how professional NRL players "keep active" is by I dunno... Maybe training for rugby league?

Melbourne have players "on the tools" at the start off every season, JAC is used to it.

I just hope if Montoya starts that he’s fitter and all round better like ciro done with Mann, Curran and co

Yeah I'm aware of that. Maybe he just wanted Craig Bellamy to see it so he throws him a contract.

I'm just not buying the whole "down on my luck trying to make ends meet" bullshit.

But if people want to believe that then maybe he needs a Go Fund Me...

We lost perham fox Skelton and samrani we need backs for nsw cup.

Should be 2. Montoya 3. Tuala.
In Reggie’s

Yeah that’s what I think it is. Rather then rush some of the younger talents development we have options now if we get injuries. It’s also first grade experience something we are still a bit short on.
