Little snippet in Weidlers article today. Apparently after a review head office has told the club Fox should have received a penalty when he was taken out. Supposedly he has a reputation amongst the refs for milking penalties. What a shit go. We would have had Burton lining up a kick to win, right in front 40 out.
I love Addo-Carr but he does try milk penalties on kick chase all the time, it's blatantly obvious. It's too far gone for us to get benefit of the doubt on it now as he does it so much.

He has also been taken out illegally in the past and it hasn't been pulled up.

Refs and officials are fekking useless but milking is a soft c&@k act and he needs to get it out of his game.

Because he's been milking for so long
Anytime he ends up on the floor chasing a kick he is going to throw his arms in the air. Sometimes he should have done more to get around a relatively stationary defender, sometimes it is probably a legit accident, other times the defender has gone out of their way to obstruct him. Every single player in the NRL has milked stuff. If having milked in the past is a legit reason for not giving a penalty to a player, then there should be a lot less penalties getting handed out.

He’s been in the Melbourne system for years….of course he knows how to milk penalties! That’s their specialty. But I’m not complaining cause we’re owed far more than most clubs…

What really pissed me off about the flat pass / forward pass was that, if the NRL were remotely interested in getting correct refereeing decisions, marginal calls like that would be allowed to run until the play finishes and the ball is dead. There would then be plenty of time to examine the pass from all angles and make an informed decision on whether or not it was forward.

We were stiffed the same way last season when JAC ran the length of the field to score, but the referee's whistle had already gone for a "knock-on", that clearly wasn't a knock on when examined properly. To add insult to injury, the Fox wasn't allowed to challenge because he had used up his allotted time scoring the try.

Well why didn’t the stupid c’unts challenge it when JAC got taken out?

We still had a challenge up our sleeve ffs
Uum ... the answer is in your question.

They didn't challenge because as you correctly pointed out, they are stupid c*nts

Yes, those situations you referred to are sh*t.

They don't want to include forward passes into the category of things the video ref can review. That is because it might fetter the referrees freedom to manipulate games (as the video ref could intervene and overrule the ref).

We all blindly accept the rule and mantra that the video ref can't rule on whether a pass is forward or not.

Has anyone ever wondered exactly why that is because with the various camera angles and technology already available and already in use at games, there is no valid reason why.

I also see they abandoned the tracking technology they we looking into - tracking chip in the ball and sensor grid on the field. Again, if they had that technology it would result in correct decisions all the time. Obviously that's unpalatable to the powers that be.

Maybe, but methinks the one last week was pretty cut and dried. The Roosters player hung out his arm and knocked JAC off balance. Plenty of comments about it immediately after and the only one who does not see it is the ref. Unfortunately once again we see an admission of error after the event...too little too late....Don't forget the line ball forward pass happened not long before that as well...
Or Avo being penalised for putting a chooks player into touch.

He will deliberately keep his eyes on the ball while deliberately running into stationary blocker who hasn't changed his line. Fox was clever in his attempts, but refs worked him out long ago

Thankfully Ciraldo isn’t blaming refs every week. Other wise the loser mentality would be instilled into the players mindset.

Obviously they don't do their homework on Mitchell Moses milking obstruction rules.
