Ivan Cleary - Will he go down as the best NRL coaches ever?

Is Ivan Cleary one of the best coaches ever?

  • Yes he is the GOAT

  • No, he is just a normal coach and not in the same class as Bellamy or Bennet

  • I am not sure , it is too early to tell

  • Ozman

that's la femme.... lafam actually means wash in Latin.... but I use it as an abbreviation for la familiar, a very common Italian term meaning to be familiar, but not too close to somebody. Fam is another acceptable abbreviation.

ok you just killed my joke.

Thank you.

Funny after 2019 most (including me) thought he was a dud...

3 comps is a big deal.. but it also shows a coach is only as good as the cattle his got..

This playing group at penrith are immense..
That is it in a nutshell.
Good players= good coaching record.
Shit players= bad coaching record.

Cannot recall any coach that has really proved this fact wrong.
Would be interesting to see Bennett (in his years coaching powerhouse clubs), Bellamy, Cleary and Robinson fare with the worst 4 playing squads. And vice versa for the bottom 4 coaches from this season. I don't think the ladder positions would have been much different at all to where they actually did finish.
Andrew Webster did an immense job with the Warriors getting them to play at their peak and congratulations to him for that but it was also no coincidence it also came with Johnson getting back to career best form.
