QLD have detected cases.

Coronavirus Queensland Update: Restrictions to remain for another week after Queensland records three new local cases (9news.com.au)

Restrictions will remain for another week in 11 Queensland local government areas after three new local COVID-19 cases were detected.

So there'll be definitely no crowds and we only need 1 case within a bubble and it'll be all over once again. And given the intelligence of the average NRL player, how soon before one of them climbs out a window for a selfie or some shit?

No. European football had players and staff contracting Covid and they kept the game going.

So if it does technically does that mean we don't come last by forfeit.

The entire comp and all teams should go to Tasmania

The lady is dragging the whole sorry story out. They found other hotels, granted not the same hotel. At least she can get married, others have had to cancel.
Yes but her whole wedding party and family were booked at the one acccommodation site...now....they aren't bc of a pack of out of state football players. The resort kicked them out without any notice... dont blame her or her dad for jumping up and down about it. Poor treatment for your biggest day of your life (and families). Anyway NRLol more important.

Now Olympians are complaining bc they can't join their training partners in Cairns and have to stay in Sydney.

Honestly with the way things are going and the restrictions put on the normal person in society, the big dollars once again win the day with the Qld govt doing back-flips of Olympic proportions to accommodate the NRL.

It begs the question as to why they should be treated any different to you or I. Had the discussion today with friends who are league fans and it even makes them question just why the empty heads in the game can flout the rules and not put the game at jeopardy; in fact they get a free pass to continue playing...

Big deal, if it was cancelled because of a covid outbreak they wouldn't have said a thing.

The "restrictions" in SE Queensland aren't particularly onerous. Day to day the only thing is you have to wear a mask indoors. Crowds are at 100% at venues. And you have to be sitting down to eat/drink (not really being enforced much tbh).
