Centre, Freddy reckons thats his spot and I would go with that, the speed quick zip king, didnt know he had that.
Getting acceleration tips off JAC the high speed king.

And when JAC is injured?
And when Crichton is playing SOO?
And when Kiraz is injured?
And when Perham is injured?
And when Xerri is playing SOO?
And when Alamoti is injured?
And when Burton is playing SOO?

Of course none of that would ever happen.

So true, don’t forget potential suspensions as well. If there is one thing this year has proven (if we didn’t already know) is that if a player is first man up, there is a good chance it won’t take long before he gets his turn.

People really should start noticing how underrated Perham is as a ball runner. He is a slicker, safer version of Sammy Perrett.

If he can work on his defence he will take Okz spot as the utility next year.
I just rewatched the game

You’re spot on, second time around I picked up way more off the little stuff he does

If Billy Slater is singing your praises as a fullback then you must be doing something right

I think hes a winger, coz he runs better than he passes. But he can also play centre ok.

Averillo needs to start tackle breaking and hitting and sticking in d... he is only 22 so hopefully the strength will come and maybe become an elite backliner but for now he is still a very weak center and quickish winger.

Has benefits in either position (wing/center) depending on the situation and who is partnering him. He had a great game last weekend and is showing good signs for the future.

In saying all this I would love to see him show this level more consistently, work on his D and also improve on his ability to defuse kicks near our tryline ( both as a blocker and as a catcher)

By the end of this season we should have a clearer idea of what position he is best suited to going forward (perhaps that will be similar to this year with swapping roles with Kiraz in attack and defense)

Centre. At full strength our pack should create more time and space for him to utilise that speed and have supports inside and outside him.

Averillo and Kiraz will swap wing to centre through the game as the game opens up. That's what was happening last week. Works well.

The bullshit around avo defence is a myth, his defence shits on alomoti and our left edge has leaked more tries through alomoti

One of your best BS, one of your best.

I love how you ooze so much confidence when you start spittin...

For starters all Isaid was he needs to hit and stick, his read in defense is actually very good but he doesn't have the strength to shut down the attacker. His strength is also an issue in attack...

Secondly, mate if your seriously going to start talking about our left edge without context then you have lost your shit.

To be fair they’re both not rating well. For example, Alamoti has 2nd most missed tackles out of all centres in NRL with 25. Averillo just behind him on 24 missed.

Averillo has the highest Line break causes for centres with 12, Alamoti only just better sitting at second and 11.

They both sit in the bottom dozen centres for tackle efficiency. And overall neither have been really targeted when you look at the number of tackles they’ve made overall.

Edit - both have 9 try causes as well, equal most in NRL for centres.

I think both need to be more effective in their D…

no perrett was much better, people talking about tough runs in this thread, perrett was the master at getting 10m hitting the ground and getting a quick play the ball then we were going downhill for the rest of the set, massively underrated player, we were in the top 4 when he was dropped and we fell off when we were suddenly not on perrett life support

ive seen nobody since that can do that, kiraz gets the metres but gets held up, perham is a finesse runner and gets dragged back

Alamoti just needs a lot more of a supporting cast around him to not be an issue defensively. He wasn’t a defensive issue when we had Kiks and JAC out on that edge. That being said, you can’t depend on those two players to bail you out so he must be better. I personally don’t think he was responsible for any tries against the Dragons on his edge. Burton should of placed more pressure on Amone and Casey probably should of taken out Feagai into touch with ease

Oh No doubt.. He was one of the hardest guys to tackle and much smaller than Kiraz. To think we got to a GF with him at FB speaks volumes.

I only likened him to Sam because both guys were decent fbz that did the job and both similar because of their work ethic.
