Question.

Where do you see him with Xerri and Crichton coming into the fray next season
Crichton fullback
Xerri starts in reserves then comes in for Paul

He’s a centre no question, he has to keep working on his physicality and defence but that is slowly getting better, you can’t train speed. The more we have halves creating space on the edges the more effective that speed of his becomes.

Centre as we already have 2 class wingers in Kiraz and JAC but Ava has proven he can slot in on the wing when we’re in need due to injuries.

And when JAC is injured?
And when Crichton is playing SOO?
And when Kiraz is injured?
And when Perham is injured?
And when Xerri is playing SOO?
And when Alamoti is injured?
And when Burton is playing SOO?

Of course none of that would ever happen.

I think Averillo is benefiting from consistency of focusing on one position and guidance from good coaching staff. He’s only 22 so still improving. Has some speed and footwork. Reminds me a little of Willie Tonga. Defence ok but should get better. He’s a local junior and been in our system for a long time. Xerri isn’t a walk up start next year. Alomoti might end up in forwards - who knows.

Both tries he scored against the Dragons he was standing at wing (first try he only had TPJ outside him). His go seems to be running around the defence. He's definitely a finisher. Average at taking tough carries though.

Kiraz is more suited to tough carries but he's more suited to centre in a way because he can break tackles from anywhere and he has an offload. More of a creator.
He’s also used pace or quick hands to set up his winger for tries

Can kick as well so if we need a bail out option to kick long or near the line repeat sets

I think outside centre or wing will work for him.

Happy for Averillo to stay where he is, he’s obviously having a great year ..

But I’m still surprised people don’t see him as a 6 ..

Hard to say right now, I don't think him or Alamoti have done enough at this stage to lock down either centre position for next season while we don't know how good or bad Xerri will actually be after missing 4 years of footy.

You guys still don't get it lol.

Averillo's primary role when working the ball out from our end isn't to take the tough carries but to hold his width so we can counter compressed defensive lines. Too many think he's being lazy but this is a deliberate tactic from Ciraldo and exactly why he partners Averillo with a powerful winger that can produce 20+ runs a game and offload the football. He has done this all season and last night we just happened to get three game changing results form it, the two tries and the chip over the top from Reynolds when we were burried on our goal line.

Right now Averillo leads the club for try assists, line breaks and line break assists while also being second for tries and this is exactly why Ciraldo keeps talking about getting Averillo more ball.
When your most despised player Grub had the audacity to cross kick from our own line to your fav Avo

Explain the range of emotions you went through bro [emoji23]

Centre, but leave as Winger for now, need space an easy open runs down the side to keep point scoring for us. +\- definitely needs it too. It worked against the dragons so leave as is for the raiders game.

Panther fans want him to replace Crichton, Bronco fans want him to replace Herbie and Eel fans want him to replace whoever the fuck their other centre is.

They must have all bumped their heads.
Panthers Broncos and Eels will all have an 18 to 20 year old centre, ready and better to come straight into their sides.
