First trams over the harbour bridge, posing for an official photo.

This was the Northern Beaches line, which was supposed to go to Mosman, Manly, Narrabeen, Frenchs Forest and Pymble.
When the budget was cancelled, it was decided to run the North Sydney trams across the bridge to Wynyard, using platforms 1 and 2 at Wynyard. These platforms no longer exist - same for the original platforms 1 and 2 at Milsons Point (The current Milsons Point platforms are really numbers 3 and 4).

The Northern Beaches line remains a pipe dream and these tracks are now the Cahill Expressway - such is the vision of our politicians.
