Cool we have an extra week to construct a plan to to undermine the disciplined Dragons machine.
What do youse reckon we need to do to rattle them and hold the line?
Last time our own mistakes beat us and we died in the arse last week the same way so it's obvious we need to get the basics right and learn from all the mistakes made this year.
Club pride will play a part as the passion produces energy, we need to get these boyz fired up because we know they are a very good side with dangerous players. They will need some confidence boosting next week.
What are your thoughts on what Moores tactics should be?

You need to rush Soward. His kicking game can be rushed into errors and that disrupts the whole flow of the Merge. Sowards kicking game is underated. It gets them a lot of good field position, tries and repeat sets. St Merge will wear you out then run you over when you are buggered. We need to have at least 50% possession to get close to beating them.

You also cant stand back with gasnier. You have to defend in his face. Given any room he is one of the deadliest runners in the game.

I think it all comes down to line speed and playing error free football.

If we can get up in their face and stop the silly errors we make at times then we have the team to beat anyone.

Ultimately, 80 minutes of football. But also this:

Bash, bash, bash, bash.
It took one of the poorest teams in the NRL to show you how to beat this team. If only the Sharks played like that every week, they would be deadset unstoppable and bound for a Premiership.

Forwards need to lift and intimidate.

Kevin Moore has tunnel vision and really cannot see the evolution of the game. His tactics with his backline is atrocious. also having a defensive 6,7,8,11,13 is not going to help the team win. Ball control and absolute mongrel will.

I and we have said line speed is the way to beat them in both defence and attack.
They are negated if you do that and Crynulla showed how to do it with straight up and in your face defence.
Granted it was a very wet and boggy surface, but it highlighted the weak area of StGeorge. They love to use the sidelines to their upmost on a good surface.
I saw, 1st handed live, an unbiased opinion against Parramatta how they operate.

If you have a defence that is not confident and is in two minds, ie sliding instead of moving up giving it to them, they will kill you.
Soward, with pace chimes into the backline and feeds them, Cooper and Gasnier which then creates space on the outside. Either of the two wingers have room to move down the outside.
Get up and into them, no sliding and cut off their options.

the only way to upset St George and their terrific discipline and defence is to play ad lib football. Offloads galore from all forwards and 2nd & 3rd phase plays constantly. Must take the risk to win the game. Playing conservative one out football plays right into their style of play

I think just completing sets, tackle and keep them from our half of the field then we will have a great day...

Our defense against broncos was really good, (especially second half) even though we knocked the ball on and gave them possion, you can see the boys still holding together, it was our handling that lost us the game, we had so many chances to score but kept on dropping the ball.. I hope this will change come next friday

A dry track will help! We cannot hold on to the ball in the wet!

Line speed, holding the ball/completing sets with quality kicks and chasing the damn kicks!

Some second phase play with decent offloads like we had against parra and souths would be nice too

Play error free football, and have a good kicking game............... these are 2 areas we've been very poor in all year, so it will require a big step up to get the job done next week.

No we have to think smart and concentrate for the eighty minutes, don't let anyone tell you NRL players are stupid lugs, this comp is a thinking mans game and the brainiest team wins, I was hoping Pritchard might be able to show us a few set plays.
