defence??? are u freakin joking. is there a village missing their idiot?
he can tackle a wet granny mate.
he still is not in the top 10 fullbacks.
in a 16 team comp thats not real good.
look at his stats.
Crack head lol, patten is a great fullback

Not sure if a village is missing its idiot but a planet is missing an alien. You would want to make this post blue if you are being sarcastic and if you are serious......are you serious?

look we missed him of course but you people are fair dinkum kidding yourselves if you think he would have made too much of a difference. the forwards were disgraceful, we have the worst halfback in the nrl in recent history and the backs didn't do their job.

bad year, let it go and concentrate on next year.

maybe the best thing about this year for luke is that he missed doing a **** load of extra work if he can get his back right maybe that will add a couple of years with us

If you don't have an established 1, 6, 7 and 9, your team will struggle.

Our 9 was alright this season, we had about 800 different 6/7 combos and we couldn't replace our 1 if our life depended on it.

Patten is a leader on and off the field. Bobcat lost a leader to help him on the field when Luke bowed out for the season. He is one of the best and well liked players at the club and can pull off a cover tackle like no-one else!!!!!!

you are right... and we have filled most of the key positions with quality players..... to make the 1 6,7 and 9 shine we need no nonsense mobile props that go forward all day and can fill a hole in the defensive line....

having patten at the back for all of 08 wouldnt have made much of a difference and im glad they gave him the extra time to fully recover from the back problem.....

Patten missing from dogs is just like Mini missing from Roosters. He is just as important to you if not more then Mini is to us. He is one of Dogs best by far. If he had been there, there is no way dogs get the spoon.

They both make a huge difference. Roosters are just lucky we had a few extra backline players of higher quality then what dogs had (Dogs also had a lot more injuries)

the general - a great clubman and loyal bulldog
We missed his leadership on and off the field.
He will shine with Ennis and Kimmorely calling the shots....

we missed him in 2005 and when we can 3rd last we missed him this year simple as that.
His direction from the back and his controlled relaxed approach to attacking kicking sets the mood for the rest of the team
