It's a bit naive of the Panthers to think their warnings should make any difference to whether we try to sign their youngsters. It's a cut throat business these days. I doubt they'd throw away any potential advantage when trying to lure in a player they wanted, so why should we.

anything. That way when he leaves, he leaves on a clean slate. Why would any coach be loyal to another club if he’s Head Coach? Will Pamfers pay his salary next year when he’s sacked by the Bulldogs because he wasn’t allowed to pick his side and we’re running second last? Don’t think so

Besides, why should he start his Dogs coaching stats with 0/10??

Fair enough they dont want him getting in their eat to break their contracts. But if the Panthers dont have their business in order and dont lock them up by 1st of November, im afraid its a free for all after that, and not only will the dogs be throwing contracts at them but a lot of other teams.

Deals for those players would be for 2022 not next year. I think it's more a case of them not wanting Barrett to use his remaining time at the Panthers to poach players whilst he's still employed by them
