I have also heard similar stories to your niece wendog. I have played golf with numerous ex Rugby League players over the years and none of them have a good word to say regarding RH.
My experience is that he was friendly and could take a joke. But, then I wasn't being grilled over something I'd done, or defending someone of power. It was a friendly interview, on a topic he is interested in, so that would make a difference. Allan Jones, on the other hand......

These players have essentially let down the entire club by doing this. If we weren't in second last place and were in no way challenging for the title then this would be even worse. Imagine if it was 3 players from the Panthers or the Storm doing it.
I was about to say 3 players rom riff or storm wouldn't do it, but then Cleary did as did another riff player and the storm .... well they are a rule upon themselves
The media thinks dirty dogs sell so whe we make bad choices it gets blown up

If they have the option to sack clause in their contracts....it would be hard to sack them except for Schoup. The rest of them (and their managers) would fight that?

So it would probably mean they'd all have to be treated the same?
Steve Irwin says hi.

I don't think it's the media in this case. The guys involved excluding Schoup are passengers in our squad, it's not a surprise that they did what they did given they just don't give a fuck about the club, they're realistically here just to collect a pay.

Players that generally break rules like this either have an attitude problem or they just don't care

I agree about the players BUT did Hadley go off when Cleary not only breached protocols but then lied twice about it ?

The problem with this is it's not so much of an issue when it's your average everyday person doing this. If we get hit with a stay at home order all that matters is we listen to said order.

When you're a footballer than makes in general a great deal more money and you're consistently in the spotlight then it's a much bigger issue. These players have essentially let down the entire club by doing this. If we weren't in second last place and were in no way challenging for the title then this would be even worse. Players are in a privileged position and they also have more rules in place that govern them as opposed to people like us.
I could name 1 from the Storm & Panthers who DID do it last year. Addo-Carr & Cleary.

Last year actually made a little more sense to me than this year as the season was suspended indefinitely at the time, but it does reflect a massive attitude problem. People don't want to take this pandemic seriously at all but if you're job requires you to do certain things and you're getting paid a massive amount of money to do it, then you listen.

That's not to mention we've always known that superstar players like Cleary and Addo Carr will always get off with a slap on the wrist. But our players, especially Waddell and Napa, well it's a joke that given their careers are on life support and they still think they get away with breaking the rules.

Media attention on the 'Dogs will always be higher, it's just something you live with. It hasn't changed since 2002 and i doubt it truly ever will

if it was a real pandemic, you dont need to be repeatedly told how serious it is, peoples survival instinct would kick in.

people see anti maskers and crash tackle them or escort them out.

as if youd touch them with a deadly virus as a threat.

People instinctively sub cinsciously know its a joke but just trying to be good citizens because they are told.

They didn't have to go to Bondi for a drink. The NRL directive didn't force them to not have a drink, they just couldn't go to certain areas. Not difficult. What happens if one of them got COVID because they wanted to hang out in Bondi with the rest of the wankers who hang out at Bondi.
I agree….

Bondi is full of wankers.

All will be forgiven, part of our fanbase will be welcoming these guys back just like after the Okunbor scandal which disgraced the club and was far worse.

So they should.
Don’t be subverted into thinking a bunch of guys in their free time going to a pub is the crime of the century.
This is social engineering at play, at worst it’s traditional Aussie middle finger at authority.

I’ll say what peeps is thinking.
This is the perfect excuse to terminate all contract?

Then spin the ‘Aaron Schoupp will be spared because he young’ line?
Time for your dream to be realised and play for the Bulldogs..are you ready to slot in?

I want to sday yes but i feel im still 4/5 kilos too light and may not be on point for 80 mins.

Ill do ok but ill be no better than fools like Wakeman.

I dont want to rush this, so im going to keep building for my gridiron team and do the correct way through mounties

I sais to myself I will not play cantervury cup or NRL until I crack the 70kg barrier.

Not when there’s a pandemic.
Pandemic? What...30 people have something that nobody wants but will not kill 99.5%+. Yeh right....some pandemic.
Ever think that the bubble bullshit is just that?Bullshit?
The premiers and senior health officers have presided over the biggest non event since Y2K. So players go to a cafe for a chat....bonding is NEVER a bad thing. 80% of people regularly don't CHECK IN....ever since it became clear the coppers are tracing people by reviewing the check in data. The players....even if they got covid...BIG DEAL....won't kill them or 99% + of the population.
We will look back on this time in 10 years time and say wtf were we thinking...to react to a bad flu the same way China did. Wrecking our businesses and the whole economy, giving us debt we can never repay, causing more suicides than the virus caused deaths, stealing our freedoms, putting our life on hold.
In short...it's time we ALL REBELLED. LOCKDOWNS are not recommended by WHO, our politicians and beaurocrats are autocratic numbnuts and we've all had enough of this continuing fiasco.
Just think....the freedoms in our life forgone will never be repaid. We won't be given 2 more years to recover what is lost now. We aren't here forever....and every day we are under this control is a day they have taken permanently from our life.
Time Hadley and Kent and the rest pushed back against this bullshit instead of saying yeh....lets do what China would do...lets lock us all down for as long as the misguided premiers say we should. Time some more commentators said....why the fuck are we doing this???
