It isn't just about announcements, it's about content. The club gives us fuck all and there's no excuse for it. If the club gave a shit about the fans they'd fucking give us some and not have Gus power tripping on social media.

I have a digital media company and offered to step up the clubs marketing but I didn’t hear back from them ‍♂..

Content could include player profiles, squad lists, coach profiles, junior rep trials draws, photos from training with names added to pics, any training initiatives explained, injury updates. The website should be the one stop for all info. Shouldn't have to be on Twitter etc to get stuff.

On a serious note, I think the club is keeping player announcements quiet because Brothfield Kent and the rest of the media drop kicks started going hard at Gus and the club about their salary cap …

I think Gus might be just going about business subtly while he rebuilds, why feed those leeches more info about players that the clubs buying when they’ll use it to speculate to the public that we’re rorting the cap, that type of shit sticks, and no club wants that attention or being labeled cheats, not a good look when the clubs wanting to attract sponsorships & TPA’s ....

It will all change when the club is a powerhouse again and all these Leeches jump on the we love the Doggies band wagon … be patient.

Reckon you're on the money here. Gus and our Admin are figuring that the sc not being set as yet will just set off the media gossip hounds, casting doubts on our ability/legality to sign players. Once the s.c. is all organised and settled and Top 30? Top 40 finalised, then Gus may make the announcements.

Really when you consider the ridiculous NRL sc situation and the extra drubbing Gus and the club receive from Fox/DT/Buzz etc it's easy to see that that may be the answer to the lack of announcements....certainly doesn't explain everything tho.

I sent an email to the club when they were advertising for a media person and these were pretty much the points I touched on that I could improve.

Silly thing is it’s nothing to complicated to fix up, it’s just having a person concentrated full time on getting good content out to the fans and on the flip side, when it’s done professionally, it helps to grow the clubs profile and membership so the expense covers itself.

I’ve seen some of the other clubs marketing, I’m sorry to say I think we’re running last in this department …

All of the things @diddly mentioned and more. It's unfair to compare us with what Liverpool can offer but they're literally live streaming training sessions (glorified warmup) at times and consistently providing bits and pieces from behind the scenes.

There's practically no sort of relationship between the fans and the club, the players are just players and that's it. I also want to see them in the gym with their tops off.

On the topic of digital stuff, I’d love to see more behind the scenes, show the players in the gym and get an insight from the weights coaches, speak to the chef and talk about the players favourite meals. Even random stuff like ask the players favourite food, movies etc. That stuff usually gets a laugh from the players if done in small groups.
On the game day side of things, it’s often a long wait between NSW Cup games and FG, I’d like to see a highlights package on the big screen of the previous round, or maybe Q&A with the coaches and players. They could have the players battle it out in a gaming challenge ie FIFA World Cup, or a table tennis tournament, Par 3 challenge etc. All this fluff just brings us closer to the players, the kids love seeing that sort of thing from their heroes, even an old bloke like me enjoys seeing what the players are like off the field.

I wouldn’t watch any videos anyway and don’t care personally but I can see how people that like & have time to watch videos and content get annoyed. Our club has always been behind in areas like this and the membership team etc because we employ locals and family members instead of recruiting the best person for the job
