On NRL 360 he pretty much said that the dogs are on the improve but there are a few whispers around about Gus disagreeing with team selections.

Said that it’s a story because of Goulds profile.

It’s all nauseating to be honest. We lack middles and a good halfback. Some journos and a fair few supporters seem to think Gus doesn’t realise this.

Kent actually defended us tonight for not signing Moses. He wanted $1.4 million.

So you would have paid $1.4 million for Moses ??

You can’t say we “missed” him mate. It’s not as though we didn’t realise he was on the market and submitted our bid too late.

Same with Luai. He went for more money.

Moses stayed for less to be with a better side.

I just can’t see how this is a recruiting blunder.
 
Kinda makes sense that Hughes is starting this week. Gus hyped him up all pre season and CC has barely given him playing time.

Keen to see how Kautoga goes in his debut. He is a big body and can play prop/edge.
 
What a rubbish article, Gus and CC would be having conversations all the time about player development, who's performing well, who's struggling and who's ready ... does not mean for one second that Gus is taking over, the media just wants to shitbag the dogs while creating drama and clicks.

Moses and luai would've demanded big deals and long term deals.

So it wouldn't just be a massive hit on the cap for 1 or 2 years, they were looking at 4 or 5 years

With the juniors coming through there's no way I'd expect a football manager to make that kind of deal on 2 unproven halves (in context of leading a team to the glory land because neither of them have done that)

They all want Gus to sign marquee players on unders to come to a club that hasn’t played finals in 8 years.

No football manager in the NRL era has done that.

None. Zilch. Nada. It fuckin makes no sense.
