Canterbury forward Greg Eastwood has taken time away from training to be treated for an irregular heartbeat.
Eastwood has seen specialists about the setback and is scheduled to undergo a procedure this week to rectify the issue. The former Kiwi international is hoping to return to training before Christmas.

The 30-year-old has no history of heart problems, but experienced symptoms including dizziness and faintness on his return to pre-season training. The setback comes just months after he was sidelined with a meniscus tear in his knee.
Eastwood has been a constant in what will be a new-look Canterbury pack next season. James Graham and Sam Kasiano have left for St George Illawarra and Melbourne respectively, making room for the arrival of Aaron Woods.
The former Bronco, who celebrated his 100th game for the Bulldogs in his last game, is off contract at the end of next season.
