Golden Goal Kickoff Idea

Even @ 80 minutes, each team gets 1 point, then we go into Golden Goal Kick Off (maybe start from the centre, work to difficult side of each kicker i.e. left for left footer).

1. I think it would add a good element to the build up of your team. Players like El Masri wouldn't have to rely on the clubs loyalty but a need for them when the game is becoming so robotic in player size, style etc.
2. Would be exciting, similar to Penalty Shot Outs
3. Better on time, from a TV point of view
4. Rewards skill, time put in at training, kicking under pressure
5. Takes pressure of Referee's and the joke that is Golden Point Refereeing

Still being replayed today. Granted it not the most likely solution, but I don't see why it can't work

It does sound crazy but each team has got the one point.

and I think we can all agree the current set up is a complete joke, atleast this idea would be exciting and tbh rewarding to the team that puts effort into Goal Kicking practise (it is overall a MASSIVE component of the game and very overlooked)

That said I'd like to see them make field goals 2 points, so if a sides behind by a penalty with a few minutes to go they can still level.

I hate field goalathons

There are / can be no conversions in golden point as when a try is scored / awarded the game ends immediately.

Part of the solution to the issue you have raised is golden try - I think there is a bit of support for that concept out there.

they should do a cheerleader dance off and the winner decided by top dance judges gets the 2pts

its a great way to get the cheerleaders involved plus it works with the women in league situation
