Really good defence tonight. One freakish try, and one mis read from Skelton. Ball control other than Knight was encouraging too. Young forwards promising. Still expecting a year of hardship, but can already see vast improvement. Salmon my surprise packet.

Couple of quick observations
Poasa Faamausili was our best forward in the first half.
Jack Todd was our best in the second.
Joash Papalii is without doubt the best fullback at the club.
Sexton and O'Neill out performed Burton and Hutch.
Xerri seemed to handle the game well and imo could easily play from round 1.
Liam Knight is a fringe player and will only be picked for a lack of options.

Are you not mature enough to the positives and negatives? It’s a reflection of your character not everyone else’s
It’s a trial you the way people carry on they expect perfection and also show their biases. There is nothing mature about the whingers on here.

Mahoney just tries to hard. All coach needs to say,
1. Quick crisp service to halves (like he did at Parra)
2. Make your tackles and the rest will take care of itself.
Trying to be the hero never works
100% mate. U either dart straight up the middle after an offload, or zing it out wide, no playmaking shit

Great signs.

No one besides knight was a fucking shocker for me.

So many kids very pleasing. Joash is special. O’Neil Hayward samrani Todd very impressive.

Hughes Xerri and Sexton very pleasing.

That faamasuli and kuatoga completely surprised me!

Storm missing plenty and their kids looked shit besides Pezet a young gun. Great to see papan back healthy. Funny to see remis spanked and someone who wouldn’t even make our backs.

Super excited to see what kikau Critta Jac Curran Tracey kiraz Mann add!

Edward’s too?

I'm trying to remember when, if ever, that we had a legitimate "link man" number 13? Salmon's performance was so good to see especially his work with Hutchison.

Curran has been talked up as our likely 13, but maybe he's better to start up front and have Salmon at 13.

What do you guys think about drew hutch? I didn’t think his kicking game was great. He didn’t do much in attack either. Sexton looks more creative and has more xfactor . What do you guys think?

Curran won’t start up front but Salmon was solid

Mahoneys biggest issue is his movement from DH his first movement is always sideways and he doesn’t engage the markers or defenders
