Rumour Galvin

Correct definitely critta but most marquees are gun half or fullback
Yep for sure the flashy ones usually the fullback..

Burton is still arguably in the top 5 #6 in the nrl.. but generally 7's have more say on the game than 6's.

Who are they? Turbo, Ponga, Munster, Hughes, Cleary.. then maybe a few of your forwards like Yeo, Haas, AFB.. even "superstars" like Walsh are absolute rocks and diamonds, Paps can't make an origin team..

Just imagine we injected Clearly into this squad or Turbo, we would be legitimate premiership contenders. It's exciting to know that we are one of those type of players away from major success. Hopefully Woods becomes that man for us.

If we can get him here ASAP! The kids a superstar and from I have seen can easily play seven. However if Woods comes through I would be happy for us to move Burto to the centres.

I doubt we are any chance though.

Paps is a superstar. Walsh is a superstar.

Burton doesn't have it in him.

Galvin might join a long list of players who looked like superstars in their first year, then regress into bog average players from year 2 onwards. I'm not sold on him yet
The way he runs the ball already, would be hard to believe he could regress

Good young player but Let’s see how Galvin goes this year when he is heavily marked.

Walsh is a superstar.
Walsh is arm wrestling Mam for the worst defender in the NRL, score 1 try let 2 in, score 2 tries let 3 in, etc. Hang out an arm and wave to Cleary as he strolls by to win a GF. The absolute definition of a one trick pony (pun intended) there is more to RL than being able to run fast.

I must have missed it. Pretty sure he played most games for Tigers last year and they ended up with the spoon.

Don't get the hype about this bloke at all.

I barely watch the tigpies. But NRL commentators love to hype the crap out of youngsters, more so if they wear a 1, 6 or 7 on their back. It's up to Galvin to show it's justified by performing once he's shown what he regularly pulls out of his bag if tricks.

That'll be his biggest test. At this point opposition coaches are probably still dedicating a lot more attention to Luai when planning their defence. So that's probably giving Galvin a bit more opportunity. If he's getting a pretty equal portions of responsibility in a few weeks he'll cop.a lot more attention.

Kid (Galvin) is only 19, showing more talent than most other great halves ever did at his age so it's only natural for people to see that he has a very bright future.

The future of his success lies having the right mentors and club that could support and nurture his continual development on the back of a strong defensive team freeing up his game and affording him time to create havoc for the opposition.

It's not hard to see Gus expressing publicly how undervalued he is and the value he could bring to a team, he's merely planting a seed.

Most clubs are bound to try and earn his signature should he enter the open market come November 1many suitors will create a bidding war and will attract playmaker money upwards of $900k p/season and could effectively end up landing the biggest contract for a kid at his age but success is never guaranteed unless his management shares the kids best interests and seeks glory with a club whose roster value is well balanced.

Gus likes good players to be in the right systems and get paid what they're worth and although he may be talking him up ... he could also be talking indirectly to Mitchell Woods who already is in our system earmarked as our long term future No.7 who could very well be the long awaited answer we eagerly, anxiously have been awaiting for way too long to put us back on the path of premiership glory and enjoyed success at junior level.

I am confident between Gus and Ciraldo and the whole team will take their time as there is no need to expedite his inclusion and will time it with care and ease and allow Mitchell Woods to stamp his presence in the squad before taking over the reigns all sharing the same goal in mind, winning, playing finals football and taking our club and its fans deep into finals contention and earning the right to play grand finals.

Yeah fullbacks can be exposed in defence. There a few around on big money who are great with the ball, but are turnstiles when the opposition busts the front line.

I rate him very very highly. Just bounces around always finds space. For someone so young its scary. Id have parra in box seat though. Gonna have loads of cash to splash
If Gus wants him he will get him
