He’s not the sole playmaker at manly, he just sits back and let’s dce and turbo run the show.

Where with us he was the only half doing anything and was constantly targeted by opposing teams coping a hammering every week.

Luck, bad for us, all of Foran's injuries in his time with us were bone and ligament (eg; syndesmosis, ligaments/tendons in his foot, etc) random occurrences of damage from unfortunate heavy collisions. None of them was repetitive, like some players with re-occurring hamstring injuries that need special management in their warn up, training and recovery. To be fair he also didn't miss that much of the 2020 season with us either, helped a bit by the reduced schedule of course.

Always a Bulldog

As Oz said, he's not the only play maker & he is playing behind a MUCH better pack which gives him more time & protection.

He was remarkably well prior to coming to the Dogs just having the normal run of injuries, his mental well being was a bit iffy though and he had a lot of off field problems family wise, gambling etc.
He was never as prone to injury until he came to us and I know it sounds strange but being unwell on a mental level can lead to all sorts of physical problems.Between leaving the Eagles he stopped off at Parra and Warriors where he just never really clicked.

Whatever way you look at it it really irks that he has remained injury free on his return to the Eagles, so who knows what could have been at the Dogs if he had been able to remain fit to play.

Not sure this is 100% accurate he had lots of Hammy and lower back issues before he stepped into Belmore. He also had the shoulder injury that took him out for large chunks while at Eels i think...

Certainly not being the dominant playmaker has helped. the way he runs into the line and gets hammered you can only do it so many times before anyone would get injured.

Maybe he's a clone or robot, the real Foran was put down as he couldn't be fixed.

Great player, happy for him. Busted his absolute gut in the Blue n white and looked like the only footballer in our first grade team. Was practically begging to stay with us.

Obvious to most he was gonna go great guns this year, another fuck up by Barrett lol lol lol (manically laughter)

He missed game one with the Eels due to an injury and played until Round 9 when he did indeed suffer a season ending shoulder injury. Had heaps of personal problems then and got done for alcohol drinking whilst on rehab and he was released before seasons end. said he would more than likely give up footy but couple of months later signed with the Warriors.
Debuted round 5 for warriors and ended up playing 17 games for them.
Worst year for Manly was a 9 game one, his first, then he pretty much had full seasons with them from 2010-15.

Michael Ennis believes luckless Bulldogs star Kieran Foran is a risky proposition for prospective clubs to sign after he sustained another long-term injury against the Titans.

The off-contract 30-year-old suffered a ruptured pectoral in the 18-14 loss to the Gold Coast and Ennis believes it will hurt his chances of securing another deal.

“A bitter blow for such a tough competitor in Kieran Foran who has been the Bulldogs most creative player this season,” Michael Ennis said on Fox League.

“Off-contract and his time at the Bulldogs is coming to an end. He was in the shop window and it is a huge risk now given the amount of football he has played for another club to be able to take him on.

“I think if his price value is minimal then you would certainly take that risk given what he has been able to produce when he has been on the field.

“But in terms of the big money that we see some of the halves on in the competition it would be an enormous risk for a club given the injuries he has sustained over the last few years.”

Foran has had syndesmosis injuries, numerous hamstring injuries, shoulder problems and there was also a lengthy absence for personal off-field issues.

It begs the question can Foran go through another long rehab and return to his best to provide consistent value for a NRL club?

You couldn't re-sign him after all the injuries he had in his previous3 years with us.

I honestly don't care now. Once he was out the door he became someone else's worry. He played hard for us in his first season, but seemed to hold back a bit after recovering from his last injury with us until he got a new deal. I daresay that Burton will be a far better long term acquisition.
