The coke itself isn’t really the issue for me personally.

I can kind of feel for the players. They’re young, fit, strong, famous, have money…. but then have to stay away from all out partying while watching their mates have a great time while on it. It would be difficult at times I reckon.
They grew up wanting to be footy players, the role model bit of it just comes as part of the job without choice.

It might be different in other areas and generations, but for me it’s so common that it’s hard to come across someone who hasn’t taken the stuff.

So the real issue for me is the fact it would have been done during the season especially around finals, lying about it, and also getting behind the wheel with it in his system. Drunk/drug driving ruins innocent peoples lives daily.
The way I see it is.

Other elite sportspeople can't partake of any party/performance enhancing drugs.

You get caught you pay the price and all the notoriety and punishment that goes with that. The players know that. There's been heaps got done before.

It's a professional sport just like any other.

It's a life long dream to play first grade RL so don't jeopardise your earning capacity and family and reputation whilst you have the honour of getting a playing contract worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Go for your life doing whatever you want but you only get that privilege when you retire and nobody else eg team mates, club employer, club members, fans, coach aren't relying on you to be available for selection and fulfill your contractual obligations or bring your employer and its governing body under disrepute and reputational damage.

He's either done it or he hasn't. And he's clearly lied about it.

JAC has let everyone down.

If the police had conclusive evidence that he was positive, he wouldn't have been allowed to drive away from the scene, right? NSW policy is to dictate a 24 hour period of no driving.

I like Addo Carr as a player and person but he has a brain the size of a pea. FFS why would you put yourself at risk & then lie about it.
It’s the Bulldogs biggest match in years and he does this. He will be a huge out.
He has X factor and experience in big matches that not too many have at the club. Just a dumb thoughtless thing to do

Maybe he isn’t himself and he doesn’t want this to affect the team. NOW SKELTON DO SOMETHING YOU big unit you.
Next in line!!
As for Josh standing himself down he will be heading somewhere different or his body is bashed and bruised. Or if Gus decides to let him go then we have more money to buy some fowards.

Good on Josh for standing himself down he isn’t a bad bloke and yes it would’ve had an impact on the players.

Wish him all the best!!! He truly made a difference to our club
