Welcome to our first finals game thread in 8 years!

Five coaches, numerous board changes, mass squad turnovers, 60 point drubbings but 2919 days later the boys have achieved a top 6 finish to secure a home final against Manly. With our darkest days behind us we hope this isn’t the last thread of the year but regardless it has been a huge year on The Kennel and we look forward to hearing your thoughts on this game.

With that said, get out there on Saturday and encourage your friends & family to do the same, both for the boys and for those nearest & dearest that we have lost since 2016 that won’t have the opportunity to do so.

Sure, a win is the cherry on top of the proverbial sundae, but it is long overdue when it comes to being surrounded by many thousands of our Bulldogs family on the biggest stage.

I know everyone's still feeling down, but remember, this has been earned. All that hard work, those recent away wins on the road, the big games we won... that's earned us this home Finals game.

Soak it in boys and girls, it's been a LOOOONG time.

Agreed.

Wasn't at home so couldn't watch the Womanly v Sharts game today. Kept checking the score on my phone and when Sharts were 20 ahead with about 15 to go, my first thought was to our home final.

What you said it so true - we earnt it and it would have been absolute sh*t to get jumped by both Cowboys and Womanly in the last round and lose our home final. So happy it didn't happen - helped ease a bit of the pain from our game last night

Can’t wait. Would’ve been an injustice if we didn’t have a home final.

How to play Manly will be scrutinised all week I know. But we absolutely can’t get suckered into going standard set for set with them through the forwards. High tempo, 2nd phase play with Mahoney, Hayward and Tracey running through the ruck. Numbers on Olakauatu and Turbo and work over Brooks in defense.
