I don't see Brazil winning it, however i have this really good feeling Australia will chuck a Greece 2004 performance and blitz the whole thing :D , and i'm not just saying it to be biased hehe but why can't they win? They've shown how good they can potentially be and they are gonna do good stuff, the biggest surprise will come from them, just wait n see...

that team looks great...

but those players will get tired! or injured!

they need to have depth, lets see who they have ......

Luis Fabiano
Julio Baptista
Robinho
Juninho
Beletti
Diego
Ricardinho
and
Cris
and players such as Assuncao, Edu, Gilberto Silva who would walk on to any team in the world, but they probably wont make the 25 man squad for germany

Brazil have won the World cup 5 times and were only lucky to win once when it was hosted in Europe as the Bold writing displays

so the odds of them winning this World cup are slim imo
just because they are Brazil doesnt mean they are going to win every world cup that comes their way

also have a close look, most of the time when the World cup is hosted by a European team then its natuarally a European team to win the cup

keach that record is of little significance

in the 70's and 80's, that brazilian generation was poor compared to this team

superstitions such as this one dont mean anything

it comes down to the actual squads, and looking at the teams on paper

i reckon brazil is the best, but every nation has quality there, so brazil's victory isnt certain

wtf are you on about Rodriguez?

history speaks for itself
Europe have the advantage in Europe and South America have the advantage in South America.

all I stated is a European team has a strong chance of taking out the cup over Brazil.

people will say greece (who never evening one a single match in world cup/euro group competition)

werent looking good in the history books

lets think about Ronaldo trapping the ball with his first touch and setting his sights on the goal

is he going to miss his shot because of history? because its been almost 50 years since brazil won the cup in europe

no, i think not, it comes down to actual skill and tactics on the day as well as match preparation

the brazil squads in 90,82,74 didnt have the sheer dominance of this current team

so i think you should think about the here and now instead of looking up ancient records

i know international football in & out Keach

im not relying on any odds,

i cant see any team who can stop brazil

of course anything can happen on the day, each match starts at 0-0 with 90 full minutes of skilled footballers filled with national pride

of course a team with greater determination and supierior tactics can knock off brazil

but im saying on paper, Brazil is head & shouldes above any other team

England?= should be close, but have they got enough to go all the way

Argentina?= mmm? talented, but cant win the matches that require hard work and heart

Holland?= younger generation, van nistelrooy looks good, a chance

France?= teams performances dont inspire me with confidence

Croatia?= will do well enough, not good enough to win the whole thing

Germany?= on home soil, buy a DVD of euro 2004 to see my reasons for doubting them
and not that much can change after 2 years imo

Australia?= decent first team, will at least win one game, others

Czech Republic?= probably one of the best euro chances, good form , good everything

Portugal,Spain?= overrated long haired but skilled, play too "romantic" they want to look good rather then win

no one can stop brazil imho

yeh but dont forget

it is the last time all these classy players are together in 1 squad

for half of them it is the last world cup

when you got adriano and ronaldo as a strike force and then kaka and ronaldinho in support and robinho the whiz-kid thenn they would be really harddd n i mean really really hard to beat

that record means nothing

im not saying because it is brazil they will win, im talking about the class this brazilian team contains

thats why they are favourites and would probably win it

I don't think Australia have a good chance while england have an all star team most of there players play in england and the english game relies on attack while the italian and spanish leagues centre around defense and possesion most of the south american players play in either spain, italy, germany or portugal. My tip to win the world cup would be between 4 nations Argentina have a good chance, brazil are the team to beat but must find the perfect forwards, Netherlands i think have a lot of classy players but are to inconsistant if there players play well the are a very good attacking side and my last pick would of course be the underachievers of the world cup being Spain they have an excellent team but can't perform when they have to example the qualifier against Slovinia they won the first leg 5-1 and then the second leg the drew 1-1 you can never tell what the result will be.

So that's my opinion still australia do have a chance of reaching the round of 16 but it depends on the group they are given, i can't see australia reaching the quaters as for england i think they have a good chance of reaching the semis but not the final.

Maybe i am blind, a few of those names look quite familiar but to be honest i really ain't got no idea what you're talking about in terms of quality players apart from like 3 u mentioned (i'ma chick afterall hehehehehe) but a wise person once told me that the favourite never wins..it's always the dark horse that ends up blitzing them all.

Does anyone reckon it could become like 02 and the underdogs and the minnows can prove everyone wrong

ie. Sengal, Turkey, Korea Republic and Japan

I know that Senegal didnt make it but im only using them as a prime example

I like japan as they seemed the most improvers in the world cup but can they back that performance in Germany i think they have a great chance they could

i totally agree on the favourites bit, but i look it at, as a side thats has players on the bench as good as the players on the field..

for alot of those players it will be their last world cup so thats anothe factor

and i just c adriano and ronaldo if not the best 2 strikers, then two of the best strikers in the world, and having ronaldinho who is in brilliant form serving them, too hard for any defence to contain..

i just hope an african team wins it
