I found it very hard to choose between puppets and justice. Puppets got the nod in the end, because it was my intro to Metallica and I can't go past Orion. Ride the lightning comes in a very close 3rd for mine. My 11 year old wants to chime in with Puppets as well.

wtf why does St Anger have the most votes?

that is nowhere near their best work, also Lars isn't a great drummer!
the only reason Metallica wanted him is because his dad was a pro tennis player and they knew Lars had the cash to get their stuff recorded.

I love it aswell, harvister of sorrow, top song, and it has one on it cant beat one epic
I can't choose my favourite song of justice, because they're pretty much all brilliant, but Harvester of sorrow would have to be up there.

One is a classic hard rock tune.

My top 10 Metallica tunes:

For whom the bell tolls
Harvester of sorrow
Freyed ends of sanity
One
Battery
Nothing else matters
Unforgiven
Blackened
Fade to black
Whiplash

And Justice for All and Master of Puppets are by far the best Metallica albums.
For me when James Hetfield cut his hair short their music fell short too..
St .Anger was one crap album , that movie they made when they were recording that album shows why it was so f*cked. I agree this has to be a p*ss take for being the most popular album choice.
Metallica are one of the few bands where you can play every song without pressing the skip button. Their early stuff should be mandatory listening for every child in primary school before the R n B , Rap Miley Cirus bullsh*t takes over our kids minds..

The Black Album for sure. Still, their first 5 albums were all great.

They went badly downhill after then.

1- Master of Puppets
2- Ride the Lightning
3- And Justice For All...

Btrain, you disappoint me bitterly. Black was the beginning of the end- in fact it pretty much was the end of them and their credibility.
Your one hope of recovering your dwindling supply of e-cred is to give me your favourite Floyd album.
Answer carefully- if you're wrong, may Greenberg have mercy on your soul.

Haha. Serious? The Black Album was awesome! It had melodic songs like Nothing Else Matters and The Unforgiven as well as hardcore songs like Don't Tread On Me, Sad But True, Wherever I May Roam etc. The 3 you listed are brilliant though.

As for Floyd, that is a tough one. This isn't in order of what I think is best, this is in order of what I like best:

1: Wish You Were Here
2: Dark Side
3: Animals
4: The Wall.

*Goes into corner hoping McBain doesn't disapprove*

You're safe- for now. Nice call on the Floyd ratings.
But you should know that I rate 'Black' somewhere alongside Guy Sebastion and MC Hammer, and only slightly above Celine Dion.
