Was nothing but a shove tbh. Stupid but nothing should come of it.
Actually he should be fined and moved to wing.

Looks likely, based on the numbers;
100 Base Charge
Less 25 Points Early Guilty Plea
Plus 20% Similar Offence last 2 years
Plus 30 Carry Over Points
Total 120 Points

The problem is if he fight it and loses it looks like 150 + 20% + 30 = 210 points which is 2 matches.

The only small thing I have is we’ve paid fullback money for DWZ to be a winger. I’m hardly happy about this.
He is still nothing big money though. We signed him for peanuts and then upgraded him. If say he is in the 400k range.

Pay finally listened, put some players in their best positions and we've moved off the bottom of the ladder with a well deserved win...yay.

Plus the Prince is back :grinning:
He threw a few bad passes! We missed a couple of opportunities due to that. If Remis could pass to the right DWZ would have scored two tries. But overall a good performance

Think he’s an excellent winger in the modern game. Kid’s not the best thinker in the game...he thinks way too much when trying to catch the ball at fullback, dropping as many as he catches.
No- wing where he can bash up lots of metres , and not have to think too much!

He was our man of the match, and many peoples favourite player last year, but you think 400k for the ex NZ captain is overs?? Righto.
For a winger yes. Especially when tht was the last of our needs- we need a hooker, half or fullback.

Still too much for a glorified winger
You do realise that $400k is just over the NRL 30 player average being $9.6m / 30 = $330k. What you are saying is DWZ, as a current NZ test player, is worth barely more than the average NRL player. Is it possible that you might be undervaluing what he's worth since quite plainly he is a lot better player than average. Or that you are undervaluing NRL players in general, just a thought.

I’d have rather gone after a hooker for instance. Grant was an option for instance.
It is entirely possible for a team to have both a decent (test level) fullback/winger and a decent hooker. It is not a decent (test level) fullback/winger or a decent hooker, we can have both. In fact we need both and we shouldn't let a very decent (test level) fullback/winger at a bargain price go elsewhere until we sign a decent hooker. Take advantage of what's available whilst simultaneously pursuing what's needed.

It is quite common on TK for some to assume that just because we didn't sign their particular flavour of the month player that we didn't "go after them". The fact is every player agents knows that we have cash to splash in 2021 and would almost certainly be interested in talking to us, they are mostly on a % of course so it's in their own interests to follow the money. The fact that we haven't signed Grant, yet, is no indication that we didn't, and still don't continue to, pursue him and other options.

Last year we needed a fb. We still do really. We picked him up for absolutely nothing as he wanted out of Penrith, and He was fantastic for the rest of the year.
Your clutching at straws here. If he can keep playing like he did Monday, then we have ourselves a fantastic winger that didn't break the bank.

That was my point, he is fantastic value for money. The fact I suggested he is likely on 400-450k is because he was re-signed at the end of last year/beginning of This year, and we had very little wriggle move in our cap.

I don't think we need any halves either. On our books we have Foran, wakeham, biondi-odo, Averilo, and then Lewis and cogger as back ups. We have too many halves in a sense.

So you think we didn’t go for grant was because we paid $400k for a winger seriously mate dwz is a gun winger but its only $400k champ

Oh but Twin, didn’t you know?
Our club has a poor relationship with all player managers. So our bank for 2021 has no bearing...:-). #KCT381
