And I thought our player’s where dumb cahunts!! Just watched 360 and sat through Vaughn’s crocodile tears,I feel sorry for his wife and young daughter their husband and father is going to be remembered as one of the greatest deadshit’s to ever play the game with zero integrity. We are watching the death of Rugby league, seriously why would any parent want to involve their son or daughter in a game that produces human beings of this caliber? Sorry but the majority of the blokes playing the game today are just shit cahunts there are exceptions but very few,The self entitlement of the modern rugby league player just blows my fucking mind and is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth about the game I used to love so much.
When asked were there others in the house besides team mates did Vaughn - say something to the effect - it was just the footy players - and followed it up with "thats all i have to say about that" - seems odd!

Hmmm probably now moved into the under the rug part of the process and been told by NRL and St George not to say anything more, and then he gets his agreed termination payments.

Dumb and dumber the more I read about this. Just thankful it ain't the dogs. Nice to see another club being thrown to the wolves by the media.

Surprised no one found a connection from these players with the dogs to throw us under the bus

Rules are there for reasons, otherwise we are in anarchy. Reporting lawbreakers is part of what we call being community minded, and keeping society safe. Using the term unAustralian to defend total disregard to the rules of society is a cheap shot.

You support a team that plays by the rules.
My goodness the level of cowards these days is at an all-time high.

Those people complaining that the Saints players were treated unfairly and/or commenting that they and anyone having people over to their homes are ok, I hope you suffer financial hardship because of the extension of the lockdown.

The lockdown has been extended because of the behavior of select individuals in the Fairfield, Liverpool and Canterbury Bankstown areas.

Apparently some of the Attendees are refusing to sign statements to confirm that they didn’t compromise the player bubble.

Unless that changes all 12 players will be unavailable for their next game.

More Dragons drama as NRL request refused

A number of Dragons players who attended Paul Vaughan's party are reportedly refusing to sign a document that would allow them to play next week.

Twelve players congregated at Vaughan's house last weekend to celebrate their win over the Warriors, breaching the NSW lockdown protocols and the NRL's biosecurity bubble.

Vaughan, a repeat offender, was subsequently sacked by the Dragons, while each of the players who attended his house were stood down for one game and fined.

The NRL has granted the Dragons the ability to spread those suspensions out over four rounds to allow coach Anthony Griffin to field a competitive team each week.

But according to a report in the Daily Telegraph, a number of players have received legal advice to not sign a statement which the NRL requires in order to allow them back on the field next week.

The document states that no person other than the 13 players, plus Vaughan's wife, were in attendance at the party, and that no players came into contact with any person outside the NRL's bubble.

Had any player come into contact with a person outside the bubble it would have major ramifications for the league, forcing a two week isolation period on all the players who were at Vaughan's house.

The NRL and RLPA are reportedly drafting a new document that will be handed back to the payers to consider.

A number of the Dragons' dozen are reportedly fine with signing the affidavit, but some refused.

Why the fuck are the NRL so concerned with letting the Dragons field a competitive team? What a joke. They deserve to be hammered, I don't give a shit if they get pumped 100-0. The NRL is an absolute laughing stock of a sport, they make up different rules for different folks on an almost daily basis.

Can anyone explain why there are still two players holding out signing a sworn statement saying only players were at the home of Paul Vaughan. Why would they have a reason not to sign??? Does this mean that the others who did sign might be telling porkies? Very strange decision indeed. Not signing means they are effectively out of circulation until they do.

St George Illawarra players Zac Lomax and Daniel Alvaro may have to spend a month on the sidelines after reportedly refusing to sign a sworn statement regarding the club's infamous COVID-19 breach at Paul Vaughan's house.

The pair are the only two holdouts from the Dragons' 'dirty dozen' who have not signed the statements, which confirm that only players were present at the gathering.

According to NRL.com, the other 10 players - Corey Norman, Jack Bird, Matt Dufty, Josh McGuire, Tyrell Fuimaono, Blake Lawrie, Kaide Ellis, Jack de Belin, Josh Kerr and Gerard Beale - have returned to training, but Lomax and Alvaro remain in a COVID-19 hold and won't be allowed to travel to Queensland with the other players on Wednesday.

NRL boss Andrew Abdo said any player that doesn't travel with the squad would have to spend two weeks in quarantine if they subsequently head to Queensland.

Lomax and Alvaro are in isolation until Sunday, meaning they can't travel until next week at the earliest.

"Once you're off the COVID hold, then they're obviously free to play, but we now have a situation where their team is located in another state, with borders closed," Abdo said.

"There will be have to be separate arrangements made for any players – not just them – to re-enter the bubble, [they] will have to be worked through a quarantine system which will be separate to those that have already begun that process."

Perhaps they came into contact with people outside the bubble apart from Paul's party?

It may just be a legal wording / phrasing issue??
