We all do, that's life.
The thing is, it's easy for media identities and arm chair coaches to bang on about who should be playing,
But outsiders don't have to live with the consequences.
The coach does
And he has Sexton in nsw cup for a reason.
But he can't just chop and change halfbacks every week.
He has to give them a chance to work on their game.

Fact is Sexton and Hutch are both nsw cup level halves at best.

Neither will win us games
So Cc is fucked no matter what he does.

Only dumb ***** can't see that.
the, fact is Sexton was our half back last year, and should have been given first shot this year..ffs Hutch is NOT a genuine half back

You meant bad right? Just last week he opened the Sydney heads and Burgess scored the easiest try of his career.
To be fair he needed to have Preston and go up with him so yes shouldn’t have run out of the line as Murray saw coming

This says it all tbh. I remember his club debut, he was a revelation. Straightened up our attack heaps.
I think Hutchinson defends well ,but both our 6 and 7 are both playing out of position, sexton should’ve been given first choice I agree.
I think we can get the roosters this week and storm next.

why doesn't he try something different then? because what hes doing now isn't working!! why not throw Taffe at 7 and bring Joash to play fullback.. the kid is a superstar...
How the hell would I know?
I'm not the coach am I?
I'm just a fan cheering on the team each week with the knowledge we don't have a halfback capable of winning us any games
And on the back of knowing that simple fact I am content to trust the coach knows what he is doing, especially with Gus behind the scenes.

That’s exactly the point… we’re burning through partners with burton as we have not had a organising halfback to steer the team and allow burton to focus on the heads up footy. Trust me if we had someone like cooper Cronk who went to roosters and did exactly what Adam Reynolds is doing now, it allowed the other players such as Luke Leary and Ezra mam to play heads up footy. We haven’t had a decent halfback since hodkingson or noddy days. That says a lot about

1. Players available on the market
2. Juniors nursery
This is bs tbh. The club scored when Tits agreed to release Sexton, but nah he wasn’t good enough so they went and got a guy that has never been able to cement a halfback spot and is 28 or something. Seriously I am one of the most blindly optimistic people on here, but enough is enough. Sexton IS enough. Sure if you could get a Hunt, SJ or Reynolds, you’d do it, but that’s not possible so stick with the kid ffs. He was bought for a reason and they ditch him after a handful of games.

One thing I know for sure. A halfback needs time. Put your trust in Sex and he will repay it. The kid has never been given an proper go. Look at the Tits, they just go through one halfback after another and are still shit. Ash Taylor, Kane Elgey, Sexton, Boyd, Weaver. It doesn’t work, yet Fogarty is killing it at Canberra. You know why? Partly because he’s been given the responsibility for a few years now between Tits and Raiders. It usually takes at least a few seasons to really make the 7 your own. Not all who have had the role for that long excel, but many will given the chance.

I believe Sex is our best bet right now. At least until one of O’Neill or Woods stakes their claim.

Do you think the negotiations go something like this?…

Gus: We’re signing you to the dogs pal.
Mooney: Welp ok, I guess I have to King Gus *bows before him*

Yeah nah bro, it’s kinda got to be something both parties want.

I would go Sexton too but there must be something in his game that needs work to get in front of Hutch. Despite what some say, Ciro is not an idiot and is much better placed to make calls on selections then us on TK. Its not like Ciro doesnt want to win. The fact the article sourced that fkn drunk degenerate like he knows shit from clay was annoying AF

Hutch is far from the biggest problem. Our team just needs to hold onto the ball and execute better, we not going to do that if we keep changing players. I'm with CC, just stick to the system and a few wins should be around the corner. It's not like we've been flogged week in, week out.

I don’t see why Hutchinson is copping all the headlines when big $$$$ signing Burton delivers literally sweet FA most weeks!

When Burton goes MIA inside the opposition red zone…. Then the domino effect is Mahoney starts going sideways with poor choices and our prized strike weapons Kikau/Crichton see bugger all ball as it falls back on Hutcho to do something special when clearly he’s not that player!

Burton needs to pull his f’king finger out or have him agitate for a release and f’uck him off because he’s now in Year 3 of being a 1st grade No.6 and still looks puzzled

The problem coaches find themselves in is that they need to win now. Like right now because they know if they finish bottom 4 they will probably get the sack.

Versus the needs of the club which is to be successful long term.

So for example if Critter plays fullback it'll probably take him at least half a season to adjust to the role and by that stage the season will be gone.

Also if Skelton gets time in first grade - They say he's not ready, but at some stage you just gotta chuck them in and see if they adapt. He has all the attributes to be like a Semi Radrada for us but just needs to be given time in grade. Even if he drops some balls and makes some mistakes in the short term.

Same thing happened with Trent Barrett where we were all begging for changes and he wouldn't do because he thought it would upset team chemistry, defensive combinations and affect our ability to win in the short term.

Then of course he was sacked and Mick Potter came in and made some changes and we started looking competitive. Which to be fair, we haven't looked any better since CC took over
CLUELESS! We haven’t looked any better? We were getting pumped week in and week out last year because we couldn’t defend, every game so far this season we’ve been a chance of winning because our defence hold up!
We are clunky in attack 4 weeks into a long season, we need time to adjust to a brand new offence.

Can you imagine any other team bar maybe Tigers and Titans persisting with a bloke who doesn't get results or even build pressure for as long as we have? It's the definition of insanity

Reckon we set the Burton traps for a release without paying a cent like what Flanagan done for Lomax?

Why is Hutch running the ball 50% in their attacking zone when he consistently does not find a gap or break a tackle?

Why is it that he is running with a deep backline attacking their tryline, and he does not give early ball to our best attacking player in the team - Crichton? What about an inside pass to Burton? Where is the creativity?

Crichton needs to be running onto the ball at speed and given early ball. Period.

Hutch is not doing that and why is the coach not addressing it, game after game?

It should be Burton in that position instead of Hutch, because he is more likely to break the line.

Which means we need a half that gives it to Burton with Crichton ready for a great pass from Burton.

Those combinations are not firing yet and it is frustrating.
