Hasler held a private meeting with both players this week, and raised his disappointment over them high filing the crowd prior to kick-off in last Friday’s loss to Penrith.

The f*** is high filing?

All year people close stewart have said that if glen leaves brett will follow 100% whether it be to us, canberra or dragons. Im pretty sure he wont be at manly in 2015 and certain manly bigwigs are happy to let him go!

At present, the Bulldogs are in position to offer Stewart upwards of $650,000-a-season, and there’s also talk of Dragons flyer Brett Morris being targeted to join twin brother Josh. Hasler knows Stewart back to front, and now that concerns over his knees have abated, will be ready to pounce if Toovey agrees to let him go. Beale and Hoffman remain possibilities, but make no mistake, Stewart is the man for Canterbury’s No. 1 jersey.

Still at Belmore and there have been all sorts of theories about the team’s form slump.
Yes, a selected number of senior players are mystified that skipper Mick Ennis was not re-signed. But according to Bulldogs insiders, the most pressing issue lies with NSW Origin halves Josh Reynolds and Trent Hodkinson.

Coaches are worried about how the pair has responded to winning the series. There’s understandable mental and physical fatigue, but also a conviction that Reynolds and Hodkinson might still have their heads in the clouds.

Those words came on the back of the tremendous spray Hasler dished out to the entire team after fulltime, which insiders described as his most vitriolic since joining the club.

Wouldn't it be funny if what I said about Brett Morris and got laughed at and bagged out by bulldogs09 etc came true?
I don't care how good Stewart is, he is scum & I'd hate to see him in blue and white

I just cant see any way that Manly will release Brett Stewart from the last 2 seasons of his contract, especially if he is only chewing up $450K of their cap space.
He wont be coming to the Dogs.

Manly aren't really in much of a position to keep everyone they want... whether still under contract or not. Letting go of Stewart early now will free up plenty of cap pressure for them.

I gues they need the money for DCE and Foran in the future. Plus they have 2 replacements for him already.

Yes, I realise this but Toovey has been pretty adamant they wont be getting released. I believe him more than I believe another BS Massoud/Hooper Telecrap article.
Believe me, I wont be complaining if he does some how end up with us for 2015, class player and 100% specialist fullback.

I really like this move if true.

Stewart is a seasoned vet and he is playing probably the best of his career. I mentioned this in a prior thread but I think Stewart will do so much to the development of Templemen.

If Manly needs cap space surely they would release Watmough before Stewart.

Watmough $970K vs Stewart $450K
