No Source Dogs has started recruiting for 2021 more to come watch this space

Succession plan for Jacko.
He signed for 3.
Bring fifita here 21 and can play with Jacko for 2 and he can show him the bulldog way.

Succession plan for Jacko is Matty Doorey, pitavao and/or topine.

St helens 5/8 Lomax would be a good replacement for Foran if he retires. Doubt st helens would be keen to lose too many players to us though
Been wanting him in SL for ages. You could see years ago when he was fullback for England that he had it in him to make the NRL imo... He didn't play really well that game, but the lines he ran were solid and yeah I much prefer him as a 6

Luke Thompson to leave St Helens for NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs at end of season

Luke Thompson was the man of the match in St Helens' Grand Final victory in October
Luke Thompson will leave St Helens when his contract expires at the end of the 2020 season and join Canterbury Bulldogs.

Saints confirmed that Thompson, who was the man of the match in the Grand Final in October, will be heading to Australia after the conclusion of the current Super League campaign.

Saints chairman Eamonn McManus said: "We were informed last week that Luke has decided to join Canterbury Bulldogs next season.

"We accept and totally respect Luke's decision and wish him nothing but success in his career and in his life. We are absolutely sure that he will be absolutely committed to the club and to his team-mates for the rest of this season.

"There's no hiding from the fact that this is a bitter disappointment to all of us as Luke has been connected to the club since the age of 11 and has developed into an absolute top player at 24 years old.

"If ever he decides to return to England and to Super League then there would be a red carpet waiting for him at St Helens."

Thompson is a product of the Saints Academy having been at the club since the age of 11 and has so far made 158 appearances, scoring 25 tries.

He has won three League Leaders' Shields - in 2014, 2018 and 2019 - as well as two Super League Grand Final rings in 2014 and more recently in 2019 - in a game which he took home the Harry Sunderland Trophy.

IT TOOK A BULLDOZER TO PULL IT OVER THE LINE BUT WE FINALLY GOT A SIGNING :grinning:
Will this guy be the real deal or will he be another james graham and go good for 2 years only and then just be average later down the track well let's hope not let's hope he's like sam burgess and help us win a premiership

Bit harsh on Graham IMO. Remember the NRL intentionally changed the rules to nullify the Dogs attack with regards to passing and block plays. At that point Graham was the best Prop in the game and the NRL took away his biggest asset. Graham was the ultimate club man and took the hit when the previous a-holes fuked our club, our Captain left so other's could stay to help our Salary Cap. Then the club got rid of the rest, Graham should never have left. Always a true Bulldog.

Well said mate

How long do we watch this space? Can I stop holding my breath yet??

Graham was in the same boat as all of our forwards when Ennis left after Graham's initial two years here. We instantly went from having a hooker that could send a pass to the forwards when they had hit pace to a hooker that took so long to decide where he was passing that our forwards weren't able to start their runs until the ball was passed. Forwards aren't renowned for acceleration, so that timing of passes is crucial for getting the best out of them. Even the kennels favourite whipping boy (Tolman) was able to hit the line pretty hard when we had a quality hooker. Go back and look at threads where his nickname was the Tolminator and a lot of kennelers felt like he deserved to play origin.

I see JMK as being closer to having that sense of timing. Hopefully he nails that aspect of his game this year. Our pack will look a lot stronger and may have the ability to be more dominant if they're not getting the ball when they're flat footed and the defence is already moving up on them. Momentum is a massive advantage for these guys and Lichaa never let them play with any momentum. It's been pretty obvious to me in recent years that the defence was generally moving as quickly as the players that copped a predictable short ball from Lichaa and were able to get numbers in the tackle.

Ideally by 2021, well timed passing will be a big attribute of whoever is in the hooking role by then. JMK may not be that player. But he's certainly closer to having that attribute than Lichaa ever was.

The key with our playing group is our talent isn't a top 4 side ,but games aren't won on paper there won on the field, to play for 80 min and compete is a coaches dream, if we see Elliot ,Holland or Montoya starting the clubs in real trouble,Stimson and Britt are winners and fit into a bulldogs culture

If Smith doesnt cut it in the centre, Montoya is in the wings waiting.

Disagree, you don’t won’t big games without talent... hardwork and passion can only get you so far

We already have enough hard work and passion throughout the squad - we have a good base to work with. We're desperate for talent and game winners. Ideally we want players with both.

Brandon smith next please
If storm are hell bent on retaining Harry Grant something will have to budge there. Smith has been waiting a while now for Cam to retire. He would be a fucking great signing!

Well Shaun Lane said Manly, Warriors, Dogs and another club were interested in him. Do you guys want him back? I wouldn't mind having him back tbh.

Yeah I heard the weed saying that on Channel 9. He's basically listed the clubs he's already been at, seems sus those same clubs would be after him again.

He’s not a bad player but why are we even in the market for a backrower? We have them coming out our ass including the juniors.

If we get compo for Smithy then absolutely.
